I just did mine, also the oil change and air filter all Ac Delco parts. Which I got for $130 at Amazon, the dealership was charging me $456 to do all that!

36mm cost me $10 , and the filter was $40. Total $50 , they wanted $280 at my local shop 😂😂. Thanks man , saved me a bunch

I always warm up my truck before changing the oil. It looks like the 0w-20 flows easily though.

Yes, this weight of oil does drain easily. It is cold in this oil change.

The theory behind letting an engine warm up is antiquated with today's modern "0" weight oils. In fact the longer you let it sit and drain the top end the better so I've always changed mine after sitting over night to get the maximum amount of old oil down to the pan. It still flows very quickly even at 50deg.

I have a question i replace the filter in my truck buy I forgot to do the push button process and I start the truck after I install the new filter and now I hear a little noise from the fuel tank I don't lknow if the noice is normal or not

Not sure, but you can always turn the truck off and perform the purge process. If there is any residual air it should push it out. If truck is running ok then the noise may not be related.

@@bestofslime5762 you would scroll the selector switch on the right side of the steering wheel until it displays the remaining percentage. Then push that same selection wheel down and hold it until it resets to 100%. Should only have to hold it for a few seconds.

I went by the filter life monitor which had about 20% left on filter. Mine was around 27000 miles. I would say that 27 to 30k is average filter life span with decent quality fuel.

All depends if you value your injectors & pump. It’s recommended to change it every other oil change or Every 10-14k. Fuel filters are cheap compared to 4-6 grand in fuel repairs.

I also did a quick internet search for the 3.0 l Duramax maintenance schedule and I found their recommendations to be 30,000 miles on fuel filter under normal operating conditions.. This was at Dieselresource.com.

Thanks for the video. Now I know what I'll be up against when mine is due as I was planning to do it myself. Already have the filter and 36 mm socket and a heads up on what all it entails thanks to your video. On a side note, I have roughly the same truck but in black and absolutely love the 3.0L.
