I wanted to get the MSI but just could not find it in stock, this one came out and was in stock on Newegg so I went for it. It's my first OLED monitor and huge upgrade over the VA panel I was using. I haven't noticed anything with the text fringing issue that everyone speaks about with these, I guess I am not sensitive to that issue. The one problem I am having and maybe it's just the game itself is Elden Ring. I have to set my monitor in windows display settings to 60 hz. When I set it to 240, the native refresh rate of the monitor, Elden Ring crashes as soon as the save file loads in. When the monitor is set to 60 it is fine. Any way to get higher refresh rate in Elden Ring without having a degree in computer science to fix it? ha ha

Thanks for your thoughts, this was a really helpful and concise comparison video. I've been in a similar on-the-fence situation between the LG 4K WOLED 32GS95UE and Asus's PG32UCDM QD-OLED, and I'll have both on hand pretty soon next week to use both and compare side by side. My room is usually well-lit and I prefer to work and play in natural light and well-lit environments so the WOLED seems like a more enticing choice with it's non-raised blacks and anti glare matte finish. However, the QD-OLED's clarity and better color vibrancy is something that's also keeping me from deciding as well despite it being less forgiving to ambient light.

Genuinely thank you so much for this video, I've been experiencing crashes only on my desktop applications like Chrome and Discord, and not games - but I knew it was my CPU that was the cause because any adjustments to the power limits would sway the crashes. This made me comfortable with undervolting, I've never seen anyone actually go through the workflow of actually doing it so this made me feel comfortable. Have you heard anything about Intel's next steps? Asus released an Intel Baseline profile, but this doesn't match their chart. Curious to what they'll do. So far I think your 0.02 undervolt has stabilized everything - for now. Thanks again for the video! I feel like this isn't being talked about enough, potentially everyone with these chips are crashing and there's radio silence from Intel.

Great question! Disabling Mutlicore enhancement enforces some of those limits we applied automatically which would be perfect. BUT it seems like Asus purposefully set limits lower than Intel’s recommended spec potentially to upset Intel? When I disable multicore enhancement it sets my limits to 280 Amp (which is lower then the base profile 307 Amp) I’ve just left it on so we can control those values ourselves! Hopefully this helped

Great job man. plus as a side note i would recommend adding affiliate links to these panels from USA, UK and Europe, in that way you could also benefit from the advice and content that you have helped others in making a decision with to. it's funny how everyone claims this LG to have an excellent matte coating, while a known monitor reviewer (not mentioning names but most people will know who I mean) says it's absolute garbage. just looks like that person has a grudge against matte coatings in general, can't really take it serious anymore when literally nobody supports that claim once they saw it in person. great review, btw make sure to not export the video as interlaced next time, there are line artifacts everywhere. this would fix it.

Also, Just realized its partially interlaced! I didn't pay attention to the final render but turns out it was an issue between timeline and export frame rate which caused interlacing! Just switched to resolve so my fault!
@peoplez129
Ай бұрын
It's not a bad matte coating. It's better than the 144hz IPS/VA panel it replaced, which was actually similar, and that was an $800 monitor several years ago. From a steep side angle, the coating is glossy enough for a mirror reflection, it really only looks matte from straight on, and gets glossier looking the steeper the viewing angle. The oily look to it is there, but it's really only visible if you're like 6 inches from the monitor with a bright solid colored background, so my guess is people are simply sitting too close. Same with the text crispness on WOLED....it's not bad, and I don't even really see the fringing unless I put my eye up to the screen, and even then it's pretty minimal. Personally I like the white subpixel in WOLED. If you do like your monitor relatively close up, the white has an attribute no other screen has: It comes out white at the subpixel level, compared to RGB that needs to create white over a whole pixel that must blend at a distance to look like white. This to me makes the white on WOLED look much purer, especially for closeup viewing, where with a typical screen you get close enough and you'll definitely see the RGB of the subpixels as a kind of chromatic aberration. WOLED looks better both ways, whether it's black background and white text, or white background and black text, because the black always looks pure and the white does too, no matter how close. WOLED will ultimately beat QD-OLED, because you're literally getting 30% more subpixels, which does ultimately add more detail to an image at the subpixel level. The reason why WOLED has brightness issues is because that single white subpixel has to do the work of 3 subpixels....now imagine when they do get it to where it can have more brightness, it's simply going to be unmatched.
