OK. Well played. But also very dry. It sounds learned to cramped. But jazz is not classical. And if you're going to replay pieces as covers, you should put your heart and soul into it and achieve a certain level of relaxedness. Overall, this is not clearly visible/audible.

What a beautiful rendition of such a masterpiece of music. The emotion, the unfulfilled longing in the song are so palatable. The world is diminished greatly by the passing of these 2 men Joe Z. & Jaco P. May their souls find peace, and may the reward for the joy brought by this composition follow them forever.

When I first heard this song in this arrangement I did not know who the singer was. I only knew that she was enchanting me. I thought to myself: Spanish may fit jazz even more than English for it swings as much as English does but adds more passion and fire. When I later learned that it was an Italian singer, you could have knocked me down with a feather. Great Roberta Gamberini!

Yes, of course he can play, has a beautiful tone, and clearly idolizes Jaco Pastorius, but it’s the old old issue - with the big fat neck and the extra strings, is he really picking up the ball and running with it? Sure I’d rather listen to this than manic slapping (go hit a snare drum that goes ‘slap’ too!), but I don’t hear breakthrough music. I think it’s the fat neck and extra strings that are causing the creative block. Try playing bass on 3 strings.

Sorry but it’s true. Jaco Pastorius only needed the 4! Harmonics did the rest. These absurd fat necks and guitars big enough for Shrek are not progress. It’s just phallic shit.

jaco doesn’t suck, but if you can’t handle the 2 extra strings, you can simply just admit it. music is moving forward, the bass is moving forward, and i know jaco would be proud
