i love the build but bit puzzled why you're sticking with factory wiring, coilpacks etc, wouldn't standalone be better? assume budget is the issue?

Nice to see an update on this. If you need an emblem for the throttle body I have a bunch here. Also the GTE valve covers are still available new from Toyota dealerships in Japan. They are $330 USD for the pair and I have the part numbers if you want them. OEM is definitely better than the aftermarket ones

You DO NOT put lubricant on the seal unless its rubber. PTFE seals go on dry
@poorwhiteman6634
Ай бұрын
And if it's rubber, DO NOT USE WD40 OR NATUAL OIL!!! silicone or metal based lubes only! Had many an incident with oil eating rubber for all sorts of seals when I was younger. Learned quick smart that lithium grease is your best friend 😅

What do you think a thick paste pumping through a cold block is going to do to the pump, the rings and bearings?

Petroleum dissolves almost instantly when it mixes with oil, wont do any damage

Yes you do its a big job, you can try a rear main seal kit additive if thats out of your budget:)

As far as I am aware, even with an inspection window you will always always have to remove the transmission

@@Jzxvip the artec is a little out of my price range but I definitely like the placement of the turbo that it has. I'm leaning more towards the SPA manifold for myself but have considered the DODO exhaust manifold as my intake set up is DODO runners and an OEM Aristo GTE intake manifold

Im curious, do the jz's have a 'cam walk in' procedure like the rbs do? Ive heard you can damage caps just from uneven torque distribution on the caps as the cam tries to resist being brought down
