is there anyone who has any tips on series that are similar to normal people? :’)

An utterly stunning piece of art, i love this series, and thank you for a great analysis, i also thought is poignant that in scenes with Connel Marianna wears her hair up exposing her neck which Connel often kisses....its almost an expression of trust

Thanks for this excellent review which has revealed yet more about this incredible show and book that I amongst many seemingly can't forget! The idea of depression even when amongst friends is something I can relate to even if only in a mild form. Connell's inability to express affection and Marianne's inability to see it is undoubtedly the key to the show's incredible hold on the audience. I found myself shouting at the TV screen at times!! One point I do disagree with. It's surely merits 10/10 !!!!

They told each other so much, without words, only with their eyes. It was soo beautiful the love and friendship they felt for each other♥️

Thanks for this video! I never realized the significance of their eye levels and now I can’t stop noticing it upon rewatch. This is such an underrated show. It made me feel so many emotions. I’ve read that some people weren’t happy with the resolution but I’d like to think they will eventually find each other again. ❤

It was interesting to realize how eyes of Mariane and Connel align in their scenes and not with other people. I've never caught that. Thanks for mentioning it

I ironically like that the show paints Joel in an evil light, while also basically giving him even more justification for his decision. We get two experts that basically says there's no way to make a cure for CBI(Cordyceps Brain Infection), then Jerry(Firefly Head Doctor) thinks that Ellie's Immunity works by tricking Cordyceps into thinking she's Cordyceps. Cool theory, completely wrong. Ellie still gets attacked by the Infected. The Infected of course are the ones controlled by Cordyceps. I also dispise how they made Ellie extremely abrassive throughout the entire show.

Sorry non game player here. The Fireflies are not the good guys and Marlene really isn't as you watch the series. Further there is no reason to believe that this doctor's theory will work without testing before you destroy the only subject. It's just really bad science and killing Ellie is just like Dr. Mengele the Nazi doctor in WWII. Horrific.

Good point! Just thought they could have been built up a bit more in the show, so there was a bit more moral ambiguity about Joel's decision at the end. Hope you enjoyed the video :))

When you realize that Brain biopsies exist & Hemispherectomies have existed for almost a century, you realize Jerry(Firefly Doctor) is a hack/quack doctor. Also, a little trivia for you. In TLOU universe, the CDC is still active & the Atlanta QZ is as well. If anybody could use her immunity to fight Cordyceps, it'd be them.

The there is no reason to believe the doctor's theory is even more obvious in the game. The Fireflies went about the whole thing in the shittiest way possible. Hubris was their main weakness. The holier than everyone else attitude of a religious cult. Killing Ellie right away regardless of the horror of it makes no scientific sense as she's their only immune subject. Why not start with a smaller, safer operation to extract a small sample of her mutated cordyceps and test that first. Why make killing her step one in an experimental process where it should probably be step 12... or 50. Makes no logical sens to me and that's before looking at any the ethical/moral aspects of all of it. The show was a disappointment to me. Not a complete travesty of the original IP like Apple's (mis)adaptation of Asimov's Foundation or the complete tragic joke that Rings of Power was but I still think both Ellie and Joel were miscast... and I love both Pedro and Bella in everything else they did. Game Ellie definitely had sass, but she was way more vulnerable, way more believable as a traumatized 14 year old kid and came across more human... Strange to say for a "virtual" character most of the credit goes to Ashley Johnson who played her in the game. Show Ellie was too aggressive and sometimes downright weird to me while show Joel was too passive and weak. Game Ellie was way more relatable and game Joel was a broken man but a total badass that just got the job done. His arc in the game is much clearer. Game Joel is a guy I'd want to go get a drink with. Pedro mostly just annoyed me. But it's just my opinion and I absolutely understand the people who loved the series. I admit that episode 3 was genius!. But Kathleen was completely unnecessary. That's two episodes wasted right there if you ask me. But anyway... ;) You should try the game or watch a playthrough. You'll probably get where people who think the same as me are coming from.

That's the whole point. There are no good guys. Just people trying to survive the best they know how.
