Right, so you don’t get a sense of specialness from an incorrect placed studio monitors that are meant for completely different purpose that you’re using them for? Who would have thought.

Due to mr4's woofer size And its power If you keep Mr4's left & right speakers among max 1/2 meters You can enjoy rich sound, If you set left & right speakers wilder than 1 meters, the sound will become wick.

Lovely gear Jamie. I love the old Technics linear trackers…..especially the SL7! I had one not too long ago, it was in beautiful almost mint condition but I sold it to purchase a Rega P3 50th Anniversary turntable. I still kinda miss the SL7 and it’s flawless automation. I wish I had the space to have 2 turntables. Love your channel. Cheers from Scotland 😊

Both of the presented products are a total waste of money. A Knosti Disco Antistat costs approx EUR 60,- and cleans just as good. I’ve been using mine for over 15 years and have never been dissapointed.

The MR4 is a monitor speaker for recording studios. It was not tuned to perform as a typical home speaker which is rich in bass and lower mids. That is why it sounds "not special". A studio monitor is praised for it's flatness. You basically bought the wrong speaker for your needs. Look up "what makes a good studio monitor". They will probably describe what you are experiencing at home.

The sound is meh because its got a cheap material in the woofer.. carbon/kevlar ir fibre glass perobably. The are always dull and flawed in bass and midrange.. shut in kinda. Compare to the similar but fantastic XTZ tune 4's

I have a very simple set up similar to MK and tried L'Art du Son cleaner concentrate and I use a small microfiber brush going back and forth ,rinse with distilled water ,vacuum dry and the sound results are great .. I have not used many different brands of fluid but I think the L'Art du Son cleaning fluid made the big difference and maybe you should give that brand a try ...

Yeah, the volume issue is a pain in the butt. However, what I really like about them is sound staging. Incredible 3d feeling when you're in the right position. As others said, they are monitors, hence no flavors and characters. You don't want them unless you're really looking for flat response speakers.

Hi, Fidelity, Thanks for the fair and straightforward review. I was able to get a used MK III off ebay for a really good price and am looking forward to using it. Glad to see that it should my limited needs. Its turntable works much more smoothly it is oiled a bit underneath where the ball bearings are...it really does help. Thanks again for an honest and comprehensible review!

HI, very nice review, subscribed. I used the Okki Nokki One for three years now with an exeptional effectivness in cleaning records and i have some suggestions for you: 1) use the large platter, 2) the most important thing is how to use the brush: you have been too gentle; push the brush with a certain (good) pressure against the record (this is why you need the larger platter) and keep it firm until you feel the friction force of the record, wich tries to bring your brush away. And don't worry, you'll not damage your record, you're only cleaning in in depth. 3)Very important: before putting the fluid on the record, do a dry pass with the vacuum on it, to suck away all the dust (it does it). Happy cleaning ! 😁
