Whenever I look at videos of the Netherlands... it always gets me thinking There are actually real, living, breathing humans who riot against cities that want to look like this and not like grey asphalt wastelands Just let that sink in

NJB: this bike path is like 3m wide which isnt really wide enough for the volume of bicycles that come down it at rush hour Me: in most parts of Ireland outside of Limerick 3m is freakishly wide for a bike path and almost unheard of... Only those weirdos from Limerick have those things (for context, Limerick is one of the only cities in Ireland with a good bike network although is still in transition and is a bit like oslo where many parts are really good but some parts are still... Not great)

I just love 30km/h streets! The traffic is so calm and fluid. Here where I live, in Poland, most drivers don't stick to 30 though, they always go faster; they rarely even stick to 50. And the control and ticket system is virtually non existent. Oh, and btw, please don't, by any means, learn Polish language. It will kill you. Polish is BRUTAL. It's difficult even for Polish natives who permanently make mistakes - in grammar and ortography. Just NO. Thanks for your lives and videos (I've watched almost all of them), I adore Amsterdam, the architecture, the urban planning, and the bike culture - everything is so human friendly.

Just wanted to say thanks for your direct "say it how it is" attitude, it's such a necessary contrast to have along side much of the milquetoast de-clawed advocacy we so often get. I sometimes feel with advocacy like its like trying to deal with a problem like a heavily drug addicted community and constantly having people intergect with "but don't you know? Meth also has some occasional medicinal uses?? Why do you hate those people?!?"

lol! Nice analogy! I just can't stand being "nice" when one side is "look at this data and international examples showing this is better" and the other side is "OMG WAR ON CARS!!! TAKING AWAY MY FREEDOMS!!! WHY DO YOU HATE SENIORS AND DISABLED PEOPLE!?! 15 MINUTE PRISONS!!!!" I'm done being nice. 😆

just take a 5 minutes of that footage in any random canadian city street, you would be surprised that if anybody knows anything about speed "limit", drivers goes as fast as "they"feel safe, and give sh** about any one outside a car.

If you want more streets to test if people don’t drive 30 km/h, may I suggest De Boelelaan (the stretch just next to Zuidas after the VU), Van Leijenberghlaan (the stretch you drove in the stroad video) and Van Boshuizenstraat? I frequently ride there and noticed that drivers haven't slowed down much, even after the implementation. 😉

@40:32 "I want to get to Stevenage." First time anyone has ever said that! But joking aside, the English garden cities and new towns are interesting in their own way. Generally 15 minute cities, with good rail links and a few with decent grade-separated cycle routes. The downside is that they are boring compared to cities, but that could be said of most towns, whatever their age.

So what actually died was the camera! I've had this happen before when I was streaming with Adam Something. The camera just dies, even though it's plugged into power. More evidence that this old Sony camera really needs to be retired. I just wish there was another camera that was this good for livestreaming. There's no more-recent sportscam with hardware image stabilization and clean HDMI out!

As a german, yea the dutch are infamous for being way too into fireworks... Not that it'd be harmless in Germany, I am just not a fan of the noise and smell and pollution of fireworks, the pretty lights are the good part for me Edit: always bizarre when one is streaming and in public and music means you gotta run... Bloody messed up copyright police state internet tbh That is not cool with the ringing ears... I was in Frankfurt (Main) for New Years once, it was crazy, never again... The dutch are as much into fireworks as the french are into protesting and burning cars allegedly lol /nsrs

I don't really like this game to be honest. I was trying to get Paul Verhoeven, so I put Director + Dutch, but it gave me Steven Spielberg. Then I finally found Director + Robocop and it gave me Spielberg again! I also couldn't get from Katana to Sword, because it can only associate Katana with Samurai. Then the AI doesn't allow me to combine Apple + Pie, but it does combine Merbearsharktopus + Pie. Maybe the game creator should switch from the Facebook AI to OpenAI and see if this improves.

Well, I still enjoy playing the game, but there is no denying that it was trained on an American dataset. Everything international is basically guaranteed to get you an American stereotype of that thing.
