Caravan manufacturers consider standards as optional. They consider AS2513 and AS4177.5 as “guidelines” rather Australian Standards. The thing you need to remember is that PIN2 is or Reverse Lights and PIN9 is AUX; and that PIN3 and PIN10 need thick enough wire to earth the combined loads of 1-7 and 8-12 respectively. Also Remember that the 12-pin plug can not handle more than 30A over the length of a vehicle+trailer. Any usable power needs to be provided over (an) Anderson Plug(s), otherwise you will melt your trailer plug.

I’ve done a very similar thing with mine. I triggered the fan from the flush solenoid with a timer that keeps the fan running for 15-20 mins. Works great BUT you need to have a seal (I used sticky back foam) on the port that mates to the cassette. Without that the air won’t pull through cassette it get sucked in through the gap.
