I just made one of these over the weekend. I used a M18 drill.

@@HelloKittyFanMan However you want to look at it. You said it's a waste of an impact. I merely said that (even though he used a brand new impact) If you had an old worn out or broken impact like I used for my air horn conversion, you could use an old one that you would have tossed in the trash and it end up in a land fill. See what I did there? I used my brain and even though the guy used a new impact I thought I might use an old broken one and now it's not a waste. No I would not use a new one but I did use an old one.

Thank you! I could not figure out if they used the impact's motor to turn the compressor or just the voltage from the battery. Now that I know it is the voltage I could make one from any rechargeable tool. I have a dead cordless reciprocating saw and an air horn I never installed because it wouldn't fit under my hood. I bet the 12 volt motor will handle 18 Volts in short bursts. Thanks again!

I have a dewalt brushless drill to use it has 3 wires white black and blue and I can't figure out how it needs to be wired bc it's all incased inside the small board....I may just look for a regular drill

Just curious why you swapped out the trigger? Could we not simply connect the positive/negative going to the motor, to the compressor that will be replacing it?
@diy-ster
7 ай бұрын
I replaced the trigger because the original trigger did not turn on and off. This is a tool problem with an asynchronous motor, as far as I know.
