A league if their own is probably penny Marshall’s best movie. The story telling , the dialogue and the chemistry is incredible.

Stilwell was an annoying troll to the opposing players, but he was grateful to have a mom pursue her dreams with all the other girl ball players

One of the few remaining players, Katie Horstman, lived about half an hour or more from me and helped start Girls sports in her town, Minster, Ohio. The school is still a powerhouse, especially in Track and Cross Counntey nearly 50 years later

I had no idea Betty Spaghetti was Penny Marshall's real daughter. I've been on a kick of watching and reading info from the movie and real team.

The actress who played older Dotti was a fantastic choice. When I first saw this movie, I thought it was really Gena Davis in old lady makeup.

Fantastic movie. I wish they made movies this good nowadays. There were no feminism woke agendas in this movie, just good old fashioned story telling with amazing actors and directing.

I have a special loathing for movies that load the cast up with bad aging makeup and then crank up the syrupy music. All the subtlety of the director filling a film can with sand and hitting you over the head with it.
