I moved shelves, chairs and tons of stuff over the ledge like this INSIDE my home. I had to go over a catwalk to get to my lower floor and bypass the stairs with small but somewhat heavy items. I wrapped the railing with movers quilts and duct tape, used some rope and a couple of Carabiners to connect to the bags (and baskets of stuff ) and off we went. It worked out great!! So easy and efficient. Fun to.......... Good video to get people to use their minds and not so much their muscles!! Thanks!😂❤

This is very good, thank you. I would like to see how a mechanical engineer would move a regular sized refrigerator from a balcony. I imagine it would take some sort of pulley system.

Thanks for the simple demo. I will do this but add a simple pulley too. And ignore the naysayers below. They add zero value but you do!

The time it took to gather/assemble all that stuff, you could've lugged the box down the stairs, been at the store 20 mins and now be sat in yer car at a drive through eating fries. I can just see a UPS man arriving to pick up a package for return. _''yeah...hold on...I'll go drag the box to the balcony. No, it'll just take a minute. But first, I have to go get a blanket and a grappling hook, then tie it onto the railings._ 10 mins later (hears footsteps fade away and a van starting up again) _Are you still there? HELLO? Come back!!! You didn't get the package! I'm lowering it down as I speak..._

Ninjas are awesome! I definatly need a hook like that! Would be soooo versital. I like your ingenuity and using what you have around you. Don't listen to those other commenters. I know how it is not to have pulleys just laying around and having to hack something together at the last minute. I makes your life easier and and is a load of fun! I bet you didn't imagine using that hook to lower something, obvioulsy they are for climbing up to the apartment when you refuse to use the front door :) Physicist to Engineer... I approve!

I bought an expensive heavy duty puppy w this in mind and at the end of the day bc I held the rope tight , it was still rubbing the ledge and I’m not sure the pilot did much to help.. I need counterweight and a way to make it go slower .. I’m afraid my hand will get caught up in rope and it slams to the ground !!

Seems like a pulley would make this easier for you and do less damage to the building.

I didn't have time to build a thing and no money to buy components for the thing.
