I hope most of you are joking. I bring up Fred once a year, anytime someone reposts Jamie Pierre's 255 foot record. Never seen it confirmed Fred was going for 350, but let's assume he was going to break a record ideally: 1. At this height you don't see the record of 255ft and say, screw it, throw 100 extra feet on there. Adding 10 and not landing on your head as Jamie did would've secured the record in a better way forever. At this level of extreme sports, you only get a few who will try. We've seen them. 2. There is NO part of this cliff made for this. Again, looking to Jamie's jump, he barely had to be skiing it was such a nearly perfectly vertical drop. He started at most 20 feet from the edge. Had he been 100 feet higher like Fred here, the lack of momentum and approach wouldve made him accomplish an accidental backflip on the way down, and probably shatter his legs. Dude landed on his head, and was dug out of an 8 foot hole. 3. No one in their right damn mind jumps even 100 feet vertical going that fast, leading to, 4. If Fred hadn't, he'd be dead. Those rocks protrude so much, any less speed, we'd be thankful the pilot camera man didn't catch the veginning of a gruesome death. Which likely, they are. This is 120 feet higher than jumping off the gomden gate bridge i to the water, at the speed of being on a motorcycle. 5. Again, 255 foot record, planned, shovels waiting, Jamie landed in perfect conditions in an 8 foot hole. Fred freefell 5 seconds knowing hed wait for a chopper to land and get to him. ALL of the above equal a dude lucky to be alive. Obviously an expert skiier like Jamie, but Jamie planned his whole life to get to 255, then said he'd never try close again. Fred lived through something not many people will ever know. Those 5 seconds, changed his life in a way we'll never understand. Skidivers who have survived a chute not opening, planned to jump out of a plane that day. Fred wasn't test jumping a 150 thst day for bigger later. The speed and lack of camera and ground crew prove it. Those 5 seconds did to his mind sonething almost noone alive will ever understand. These days, if he was proud of it,someone would have got him and Jamie in an interview together. Most people don't know what Fred did happened. Thats one part I do agree with you about, as does the video. Straight away, this isn't a hype video. Straight to how something felt off that day (call him stoned or whatever you all have, sonething wasnt right. Like those days you get a bad feeling and eventually realize you were right. That is Fred here. But, as a skiier who maxed cliff jumping in a way that will never be exceeded by someone who lives to talk about it. Theres a reason no one has gone here and gone bigger, Fred didn't go back, etc. He should be dead. It is not ideal in any way and only BECAUSE it was an accident and done at full speed, did he live. There is so much going on here, but it wasn't what was planned or an idiot move. You have on video a feat that will never be exceeded on skiis with people living to tslk about it or footage that will be released. In that respect alone, it isn't a record. If it was, someone would be pushing for 360 feet this many years later. They won't, because this happening was so unlikely even the craziest know TRYING to do it will kill them. Ok, bud, here's the cliff, just straightline it at 30 to 40 mph and youll clear the death rocks. They're extreme not stupid. Fred's lucky as hell, a legend, but still has an experience no one else will ever have. And I doubt he gives a single shit if anyone calls it a record. The record he lived is all that matters. If ANYONE wanted to beat Jamie's 255,you've seen what Redbull funds these days. Far above what Warren Miller did with Jamie. Anyone with the skill, would have a perfect cliff located, they'd build them a takeoff, we'd have footage from 4 angles, 9 drones and a GoPro and a full length doc about it. Fredvis a dude who straightlined 100 feet higher than any record and happened to live, and no one since has even gone for 270 tobeat Jamie, much less watched this, seen a perfect cliff and gone to try to live through 360 on purpose. Even your first cliff or any drop is a mind job to convince yourself landing on a slope is best. Flat feels safer, and is absolutely not... That this guy ever was going to go beyond and throw in that much speed, but just missed the spot is positive lunacy. Look up things 350 feet tall and tell me you'd run off them with cottonballs and Jesus to catch you. You're full of shit.

he wasn’t supposed to see the jump because he wasn’t supposed to jump there, the plan was to move another couple of hundred metres further along the cliff and then jump, he jumped from somewhere completely different and much higher by total accident

I followed the cliff all the way down to the second chute.... no mistake. I stopped at the top because I wanted to get in the “just jump it” mood. It was really not steep and was very slow, i meant to ride out, not crater. This wasnt even a big deal, before I jumped it I thought this would be around 100ft... I still think it was.

It is dangerous, because it is honour, not only sports. And when you had a different-sexual touch - par hasard - and still need sexual magnetism in blasphemics, you should stop, because in the nine month later it functions also unaware (§§ 178, 179 StGB). I think there was a woman, and you were not aware of her.

I don't understand where he was supposed to go, the whole area was a cliff face. What was his original line supposed to be? I also don't understand why he didn't have a "scratch" but was interviewed in a hospital bed. Videos with a gaping hole in the narrative are annoying.
