Fred always had a heart for scouts .Even at the start of the series ,he filled in for a sick scout leader and saved the boys' lives from a waterfall.

Some of the other great episodes included Pebbles being born, Barney and Betty adopted Bamm-Bamm, Hoppy came to join the Rubbles, the hillbillies and their disdain for Bug Music, the BeauBrummelstones performance and Fred accidentally creating a new dance at his expense, and even Gazoo dropping by

I remember this fondly from when I was a kid. But the funny thing is...according to actor David Niven's memoir, Cecil B. DeMille was trying to get a biopic of Boy Scout founder Sir Robert Baden-Powell off the ground, possibly with Niven himself as Baden-Powell. It never did come to pass before C.B. passed away, though. C.B.'s vision for the movie's finale was a Boy Scout Jamboree featuring scouts from all over the world. Of course, this would have been more "epic" than "cute and bouncy", but the principle's pretty much the same as what the Flintstones did here!

Don't forget Australia too There was actually one black boy scout among the Bedrock boy scouts. I think most of the countries mentioned in this episode were well economically developed countries. But you're right, no country in Africa was mentioned, or, for that matter, the Soviet Union back in the 60's as well. Also, the Eastern European countries were not mentioned either because they were already under Communist rule by 1961 when the Berlin Wall was completed, thus forming the Iron Curtain
