I am heartbroken because my friend has HIV and it has completely changed his mood and behavior, he is still a nice person with a sweet heart but I can tell that he is more closed in and non chalant about things. I told him that I'm here for him but it has really affected him emotionally even though he say nothing wrong with him. He tries to make jokes about his HIV, he say he not taking his medications because of the side effects I told him their were other options of medications, he in denial he say he doesn't have HIV. I don't know what to do? Any suggestions,? Please help?

Wow you are a beautiful brave bright strong and intelligent young lady with a positive outlook/attitude i commend you. I'm a 36 yr old straight male myself & have been going through absolute hell since August 2022 with symptoms of Hiv & whole heartedly believe i was exposed to it deliberately back in August 2022 when a female sex worker forced herself up on me when i just wanted a massage & to receive oral. I firmly believe she damaged the condom deliberately with her teeth mounted me didn't really move much then got off. Her blood was all over the tip of the condom & it looked to me to be swishing around inside but I didn't see a major split so i was shocked & confused then as i was momentarily distracted she swiftly removed it & i didn't see it again. 6 days after i got a rash on my palms and soles aswell as joint pain stomach issues & just feeling like i was gonna die i noticed this woman was watching me on WhatsApp going offline to the second I'd come online this happened over a period of days around that time at least in excess of 20 times i have tested numorous times since then ( a total of 15 or more times) & each time I've been negative however when i seen the rash on my palms and soles come up i immediately reached for a drug i have lying in the cupboard called ivermectin ( i bought it as different countries used it round the world to deal with covid 19) i could not understand why i had the symptoms but negative then i goggled 'ivermectin Hiv' & the first thing comes up is that ivermectin is a specific inhibitor of the Hiv-1 virus. As i scrolled down i found a page where these doctors in Africa where treating people with parasite infections in there stomach with a yearly dose of ivermectin but one thing they noticed was it lowered there over all mean viral load & went on to say newly infected people wouldn't need anti-retro viral drugs for up to 12 months & they would remain in the symptom free phase for that time. Well with me i certainly have not been in the symptom free phase. So i took 5 pills of ivermectin in August 2022 ( 1 pill a day for 5 days as soon as i noticed my hands & feet get a rash) then silly of me last march i took one pill of ivermectin as i thought i was getting a cold & one in June of last yr to.. So basically i haven't had a full 12 months off ivermectin.. Next month will be 12 months so im waiting but the symptoms have been killing me, they are as follows exhaustion, bad stomach cramps & frequent diarrhea, nausea, joint pain ( particularly in ankles, feet, knees & neck, lower back) tingling in my feet particularly my right foot, i did get mouth ulcers like 3 or 4 at a time. I'm lying here on the sofa atm with tingling in my foot which drives me crazy & affects my sleep. As I say im waiting to next month & that will be 12 months from the last time i had an ivermectin. The last test i did was the 8th of this month ( may) yet again nothing was picked up (Negative) I've been to the Doctors numorous times & done tests I've been in hospital & again they couldn't find anything apart from at the start when this all happened they seen raised crp & said the infection markers were up & that it looked like i had a recent infection at that time. I actually a couple of months ago went round to this womans house to ask her if she had hiv & she said no although i do remember her in the past claiming ahe was tired & didn't know why, also she had neck pain also she had lost a considerable amount of weight. Another time she told me she had a very low red blood cell count & that she maintained she had iron deficiency anaemia... I know this woman dosen't tell the truth as i remember catching her out on lies before.. Anyway a couple of months ago I went round to her place she's working out of & out of my pocket i produced a self hiv test kit i had just bought from boots ( a finger prick one) anyway I asked her to do the test & she looked visibly shaken sweating turning pale the she started shouting & arguing & refusing to do the test which really freaked me out eventually i managed to persuade her to do it & it came up negative but one thing i noticed she had alot of medication/tablets & this test said on the back of tge box ' not suitable for people taking antiretro viral treatment' so she may well have got on treatment from she did this to me back in 2022... Its just an awful situation I'm in.. I've heard experts in the field of hiv saying that if you have symptoms you're test will be positive but then i think of them dr's working in Africa that seen ivermectin affected hiv for 12 months.. It's a dreadful awful situation I'm in at one point i took near 100 codeine tablets & a bottle of JD because of these symptoms & this situation. It's awfully i was always healthy never had any allergies went to the gym & now I'm just completely suicidal thinking about hanging myself it's terrible.. i had alot going for me good looking 6ft tall gym fit man & now all i do everyday is Google methods of suicide it's a sad sad existence this sorry for the long message.

I’m so glad you’re able to stay positive with this diagnosis and get the treatment you need and that it works for you.. However, the magic pill does not work for everyone so I really wish people would stop telling people that HIV is manageable. It makes a lot of young people think they can still live a wild life. Some can’t handle the treatment and some are resistant. 🙏🏼
@ellieharrison6905
2 ай бұрын
Hi, this isn’t entirely true, resistance typically is against specific medications, and only occurs through incorrect use of medication. The strain of HIV passed to me was already resistant to one medication and I just use a different one. Everyone can handle the medication, side effects are very minimal and if any occur there are 7-8 different types of medication available to try. People living with HIV can have entirely normal sex lives

@ellieharrison6905

It’s impossible for transmission to happen from a father to a baby, vertical transmission (mother to baby) is virtually eradicated in the UK for positive mothers as the medication is so advanced.

Let this be a warning to everyone who thinks nothing of having casual sex with people they barely know. I am not going to pity you, this is 100% your fault and if you weren’t so easy then this wouldn’t have happened.
@ellieharrison6905

To confirm I’ve had more causal sex with people I barely know after diagnosis then before. There is no shame in causal sex but precautions should be taken if that’s the case. In my case better communication with my partner about testing prior to my relationship probably could have prevented the issue.
@SavvyCheetah888
3 ай бұрын
Sorry but unless you are born with HIV or raped then I don’t have much sympathy. You should always ask a new partner for an STI test beforehand but if you are daft enough to engage in casual sex, always make sure a condom is worn. This isn’t intended as slut shaming and there’s nothing wrong with sleeping with as many people as you want but it only takes one incident from someone you barely know for your life to change forever. I had blood work done to prove that I am HIV negative since my previous partner a few months ago and I would expect any future partner to take an STI test and refusal to do so would mean no intimacy. It’s about common sense
