Hey! I hope you have fun in Bangkok! I rented mine from Natcha Traditional Costume Rental - they have a photographer package as well if you want professional photos taken, but I just opted for the clothes :) Thanks for watching!
Ichiran, nah, you are definitely correct in your evaluation that it's not it. WAY overhyped. It's not bad, but it's not good either. I suggest that if you need to queue, then don't bother. If there's no queue or less than 5 people ahead of you, and you have not had ramen in Japan before, then yeah, maybe go and try. If you had ramen in Japan at any other places, then don't waste your time and stomach space on Ichiran. There are so much more better options in Japan.

The ichiran experience is quite fun and manageable when you can’t speak/read the language 😅

Yes, I agree! I think it's a good way to start out, and if I wasn't travelling with someone who had been to Japan before I definitely would have found Ichiran easiest to order!

Ah, I see your point. The language barrier, huh. Actually, it's not that hard to read the language especially when food is the motivating factor, hahaha. You just need to know enough to understand the menu items. For ordering, you can just point to the menu. I only know enough Japanese to understand Japanese menus, lol.

Oh, this must have been fun. You got me interested in that restaurant. Those dashimaki tamago looked really nice and I am sure it tasted nice too. I suppose you guys headed there right after Dazaifu via a bus? I looked up the restaurant on google maps and the opening hours for dinner appears to be 6.30pm. Just a few questions to help me plan better, was it a weekday when you visited the restaurant and did you have to make any reservations? What was the time of visit and was there a long queue when you arrived at the restaurant?
@bluenooon

Yes, we got a train and then a bus to the restaurant. The dinner menu opens at 5:30pm and, we got our hotel staff to help us make a reservation the day before. We went on a weekday and it's a small restaurant so it's bookings only. I highly recommend though!
