O'siyo Ramona, just found your channel. First time watching it. I want to say that although I enjoy the music, it was hard to hear what you were saying because the music is too loud. The food looks so good and I can't wait to try it here at home. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you for sharing. Wado!!

Monie, I am so happy you posted this. My mother was like you, 3/4 Pawnee and one quarter Cherokee. She made these all the time. She passed away when I was 22 and she was 41. Your recipe is just like hers. I've been looking everywhere for this. Thank you so much.

I tried to make some but due to the fact that you didn't show how to make the meat preparation itself that goes within the flower mine ended up tasting like absolute s*** so I really appreciate you not helping us at all

Ok, as promised I’m posting how my Indian Meat Pies turned out. Now mind you this was my very first time making it ever. It did not come out the way I wanted it to for several reasons. 1. I used 90% lean meat so of course when I took my pies out to taste them they were dry. It is best to use maybe about 70% lean so that you got more juices to surround the meat pies because you want them juicy. 2. I like my meat well seasoned and a teaspoon and a half of salt was not enough seasoning for me, maybe because the meat was so dry. 3. I used 100%ground meat as where I live in Ohio I don’t have access to Buffalo. 4 I’m accustomed to eating my meat pies deep fried not baked but I know baked is healthier. 😊🥰 5. I didn’t care for the taste of the dough and I left my meat pies in the oven about 8 minutes longer because I wanted it to brown more however now I know that by doing that it made my meat even drier. Now, it looked good but because of all of the reasons I listed above I was not successful but I will try it again. Next time I will buy 70% lean, I will not over knead the dough and buy fresher dough and season the meat more to my liking. Monie is a professional and I respect her cooking and showing us how to make this. When I try it again I will post my results here again. I think the kind of flour matters as well. ♥️♥️⭐️⭐️♥️♥️

butter, lard, sausages, bacon, cheese and cream - do not clog the arteries. But eating a unhealthy amount probably would.

It all was well, except at the end. She should have used a clean plate on which to put the baked meat pie, but she put the baked meatpie on the plate that had the raw meat on it. Not a good visual. Cross contamination would occur.
