Roy Haynes is a legend. The whole band is awesome. Martin Bejerano is an exceptional pianist. Hopefully we will hear more from him.

I can only imagine being stationed in Iraq at that time and listening to these cats play this version of My Heart Belongs To Daddy. I'm crying my eyes out just thinking about it. Thank you for your service!

that's such a cool beat he comes up with for the second tune in this medley, starting at 9:50, and eventually returning to the original beat pattern at 18:00. I think Haynes recorded most in the 60s. First tune here is title track of Metheny album Haynes played on in 89. Pat once said RH is best drummer for doing something creative in every bar. I didn't care for 'live in studio' Q&A album til I listened primarily to the drums: then the entire album seemed like a 60minute drum solo or something. RH's got style on the hi-hat, ride, and...everything really
