Tá gach rud a deir Julie san fhíseán seo fiosrach agus cabhrach agus cruinn do na teangacha Ceilteacha ar fad. Gach duine! Déan, le do thoil, gach is féidir leat chun na teangacha Ceilteacha a choinneáil beo. Tá Gaeilge agus Breatnais agam i mo theaghlach. Tá mé ag déanamh mo dhícheall. Cuidigh liom le do thoil agus déan do pháirt!!

So familiar a language to me. I have both Scottish celt and norse Danish ancestry and there are some similarities with the scandinavian languages. Culture and language and connection to the land must be preserved. The language of English doesn't have the words to translate to the land and folk lore as it was the language of oppressors.

It's very very unusual language. Sounded more like a something nordic. Даже не верится, что Шотландский абсолютно другой язык, не удивительно, что шотландцы не полностью ассимилировались саксами.

Not very Nordic at all. The Scandinavian languages are Germanic languages, and Finnish is a Finno-Ugric language. Not closely related to the Celtic languages.

Its called "Smeòrach clann Dòmhnaill" or the Song-thrush of Clan Donald. It was written by a Gaelic poet John MacCodrum in the 18th century.

I find it not only good, but also absolutely useful to teach and preserve the ancient languages. They are just as important as an old picture or a sculpture. Even though we are getting closer together in Western Europe, which is good, we must never forget where we come from and what our history is, that's what we call culture. A little nationalism must be allowed, otherwise old values and art, music is also part of the art. So no matter where in the EU and Western Europe, do not let the history of the individual ethnic groups forget it would be a great pity.

I like what Julie Fowlis says in this video, and it applies to our old traditional Romanian culture as well! Celtic traditional music and Romanian traditional music are superb! Many Celts(Gals) lived in Romania as well, and left beautiful traces in our culture. Celts are one of the four ancestors of Romanians together with Romans, Thracians-Illyrians and Scythians.
