My mother and father grew up in the Great Depression. During WWII my mother worked in an ordinance plant. She lost one of her brothers when he died at age 5 of scarlet fever. My father was in the South Pacific on a US Coast Guard Ship. In college I went to school with some Vietnam Veterans. Then I realized how soft an immature I was. My parents never talked about their experiences growing up during the Great Depression or about WWII. They both had a lot of character.

Women aren't funny, they can be entertaining but that's about it, with the exception of Joan Rivers and now this woman. She has some real great material!

This is funny, I'm a contractor, in the past month+ I've been hired for consults (2 hr minimum, three digit cost per hour) 3 times by :independent" single women to tell them how to do simple, basic things on their houses and one needed mechanical help on a vehicle. It used to be called "man splaining" but now I charge them out the ass and call it consulting. To their credit, they were all grateful and listened attentively or took notes on what I was saying.
