Jesus this is so good. Only slight criticism for me though is I never get why they don’t get Mikey to do the lead vocals on Millionaire. Dudes got a killer scream and the sung version Joshua does is cool but missing the same impact for me. Still, nitpicking, this is incredible.

Bro I’ve been saying this for years, it would make millionaire way better, my biggest criticism of current QOTSA lineup is the lack of utilizing Mikey’s vocals, man has fantastic screams and great clean vocals.

@@puppetmaster8551 Agreed, shame they didn't even play it in their set this year. Although Paper Machete and Carnevoyeur would fit right into this setlist like they always belonged.

Perhaps they don’t scream this song in Nick’s memory, like, you know, you can’t replace Bonham. But now this song has some 80’s feeling, which is quite interesting as well. Anyway it deserves to be shouted by approximately every band member
@tickbox_

@@Photoshopper13 That’s possible, although as far as I know Josh pretty much hates Nick now so not sure he’d want to do anything in memory, but who knows.

I love the energy Mikey Shoes brings to their live shows so much! It may have something to do with the fact he's 12 yrs younger than Josh, who I think is the closest to Mikey in age out of all the guys 😎 Which is crazy cuz nobody in the history of all of ever has had as many birthdays as Mikey Shoes 😂

we miss the rawness.. 😉
@107bobaphat
Жыл бұрын
@@glover788 Yes. I guess it's inevitable. First of all most artists mellow with age (except maybe painters who can become Masters). Second of all: of course substance abuse isn't healthy, and turmoil with various bandmembers, and the occasional fight, but it can create what you say: rawness. It's hard as a middle aged dad (with money) to make the same music as when you were young. Maybe technically better, but the edge has gone. (Some say Jon Theodore is a better drummer than Joey Castillo, and Michael Shuman is a hell of a bassist, but guys like Mark Lanegan, Nick Olivieri and Joey Castillo are the definition of raw meat).
