Shaq's questionable rings - 2000, 2002, 2006. He was a great player but mostly received a lot of generosity from Stern, likely including the '93 lottery. :) Kobe wasn't far off in his benefits, and LeBron has a bubble ring, shortened ring, ejection ring... They've been trying to recreate Jordan for a while due to financial incentive.

The nfl does the same. Look what they've done to try and prop mahomes up to recreate Brady and the Patriots run. These leagues know what they're doing from an entertainment standpoint. We put Shaq and Kobe in top 10 considerations but when you have tape of this games officiating and the 2003 Kings game they're legacies sure would look different. Another Shaq questionable game was the Heat vs Mavs, 3 games in a row it was like the Mavrick's couldn't move without being called for somekind of foul or turnover.

I've watched 25 plus years. Most years are fine. There were 3 playoff series that stand out to me: 2000 Lakers vs POR, 2002 Lakers vs SAC and 2006 Miami Shaq vs DAL. I will say that Kobe, Wade, etc made some great plays despite but ALSO refs favored way too much Shaq-Kobe Lakers. Whoever won the 2000 and 2002 Western Conference Finals would win the Finals. Many very favorable and generous calls gave Shaq-Kobe enough edge to win. Both are incredible players but they also needed incredible calls to get the edge.

your video opens with Sabonis putting his whole arm across Shaq and then pushing him into his body which is a foul on Sabonis THEN he 2-hand shoves him which may not get called because of how mild the shov is but had you watched NBA baskeball you know this is how refs call cheap fouls and all you have to do is not put 2-hands on the players back which is easy as fuck since proper defensive technique involves 1-forearm... WHY WOULD YOU OPEN WITH SABONIS FOULING SHAQ TWICE IN 2-SECONDS IN AN ATTMEPT TO CLAIM THE LEGUE RIGGED FOR LA AND NOT RATHER PORTLAND WAS NOTORIOUS FOR CHOKING UNDER PRESSURE AT ALL TIMES REGARDLESS OF OPPONENT... fax!!!

It should also shine a light on what happened in the early-00's. My belief: After the 99 lockout season (when the Spurs won), NBC's Dick Ebersol decided to replace the retired MJ with Shaq and Kobe as the new good guys (with Ebersol, he saw it as a TV show, not a real sport). In those three years, the league did everything it could to make sure that the Lakers won the title every year.

If this game was rigged, they officials would not have allowed Portland to get a 15 point lead. The officials didn't cause Portland to miss 13 consecutive shots and shoot 5-for-23 in the period. Shaq had 3 fouls in the first half. Portland failed to take advantage of this by continually settling for jumpers and thus Shaq didn't pick up his 4th until about 1 minute remaining. The Lakers picked up their 4th team foul with nearly 8 minutes left. The Blazers failed to take advantage by settling for jumpers. The Blazers lost because they choked. Period. This video and many of those commenting just have sour grapes.
@johnhorton5627

Shaq wasn't called on several obvious fouls he committed and Sabonis was on the bench with 3 of the 5 very cheap calls for large stretches of that fourth quarter, fouling out with 3:30 to play. Cut the BS that it comes down to bad shooting. Take Shaq off the floor for most of the fourth as he should have been and lets see how that defense holds up with no rim protector, especially if Sabonis was in the game for rebounding the way Shaq was. Then check the shooting statistics. Or check the freethrow disparity, the easiest place to see a one sided referee jobbing as the Steve Smith hammered by Shaq in the video demonstrates in an obvious manner. Not calling fouls that should be for example aids that 5-23 shooting you point to. Your commentary doesn't take the game seriously at all. It takes no interest in personnel on the court and the different ways that effects the game. It takes no interest in how the game is called and how that effects the two teams and the way they are forced to play. All of this is on top of the reality we know the games were being rigged in that era. It's not some conspiracy theory. That shit happened and there just are several games where it was obvious.
@redpillfreedom6692

@@johnhorton5627 Well since you apparently have comprehension problems, I guess I'll have to repeat myself If the game was rigged, it makes absolutely no logical sense to allow the alleged intended loser to build a 16 point lead in the final quarter of play. None. Whatsoever. You're putting your fix in serious jeopardy by doing so. Add on top of that, it also makes no logical sense to whistle your alleged intended winner for 4 team fouls with nearly 8 minutes left when they're trying to make a double-digit comeback. None. Whatsoever. It also makes no logical sense to whistle the superstar player of your alleged intended winner for 3 fouls IN THE FIRST HALF if the game is rigged. None. Whatsoever. As for the FT disparity, the Lakers last 10 FT attempts were from intentional fouls. Take away those 5 intentional fouls in the last 40 seconds, and the foul disparity becomes 26 for Portland and 25 for L. A. Hardly an indication of favoritism. As for the Sabonis fouls, so what? Did the Sabonis fouls make the Trail Blazers incapable of hitting a single shot for the next 8 minutes? Just 2 or 3 makes would have stymied the Lakers rally The referees didn't use telekinesis to cause Portland to miss all those shots in the 4th quarter. They did that themselves. Because they crapped their pants. You'd realize all this if you tried thinking logically for a change instead of blindly believing what conspiracy theorists tell you to think. Either that or you have an extreme case of sour grapes. Either way, it's clear you only see what you want to see. That's all I'm going to say to you because I have no interest in wasting any more time with you than I already have.
@johnhorton5627

@@redpillfreedom6692 Apparently you do have time to say the same thing again, but not to address the personnel issue. Sabonis gave Shaq lots of trouble and kept him off the boards. That spectacular dunk for example does not happen if Sabonis is back and on the court as he should have been. 3 incredibly cheap calls again Sabonis, one that was clearly an offensive foul comitted by Shaq was a huge factor in that game. That was a jobbing by the refs and it's clear as day it wasn't one sided officiating in favor of Shaq and the Lakers. It's not a conspiracy theory to simply watch the replay of the fouls levied against Sabonis and notice they were incredibly cheap calls. That's where you are full of BS and you of course didn't address it, not because it's not an important factor in the game, but because you know you can't and seem at all reasonable.
