I like that sound. I LOVE that sound. Very quiet, compared to old very noisy Di4 that are pulling passenger trains into Bodø. I'm asking myself why SJ Nord doesn't lease some Euroduals for its passenger trains. SJ Nord has a lot of problems with its old Di4's and many trains are cancelled due to breakdowns. I was lucky my train to Trondheim was not "bustituted" as the northbound the day before was partially cancelled.

I remember these from my childhood in Kiruna in the 60's, but they were brown in colour. My father worked for LKAB.

One of them (blue) went out of Gävle museum in 2022 and pulled an ore train from Kiruna to Bjorliden if I remember, it was its last chance before line conversion to ERTMS on 2023. I would really like to see it with my eyes! RIP.

Here's the swedish-only website for the decals : www.byggsvenskt.nu/ Available decals are under "Dekalkatalogen" link. I don't know if the guy speak english (I think so) as I communicated with him by email in swedish using my limited swedish base and the help of Google Translate. email: [email protected] Decals were good quality, I paid with Paypal and received them quickly. Decals are a little bit shorther than prototype but it's a really minor detail.

Selon les horaires, les jours de la semaine à Kløfta : - Ligne re10 Lillehammer-Oslo-Drammen = 1 train/heure - Ligne re11 Skien-Oslo-Eidsvoll = 1 train/heure - Ligne r12 Kongsberg-Oslo-Eidsvoll 1 train/heure - Ligne r13 Drammen-Oslo-Dal 2 trains/heure - Navette aéroportuaire aux 10 minutes = 6 trains/heure - Interurbain Trondheim-Oslo 6 trains/jour - Marchandises = environ 32/jour Ca donne donc environ 24 trains/heure, soit un train aux 5 minutes dans chaque direction.

This spot is unusual. "Riksgränsen" in swedish means "international boundary". We are on the swedish side of the border with Norway, half of the passenger platform is inside the snowshed, and the border itself is inside the tunnel.

It's an industrial spur that serves a few customers north of A-20. I believe the train has to stop and wait for the crossing to be clear before crossing. The only obvious solution is to abandon the crossing and force the customers to truck goods to a nearby point, which would probably create protests.

Moi aussi je me suis posé la question, surtout que c'est ce qu'ils avaient fait lors de la livraison du dernier autorail. Ils avaient probablement peur d'endommager les moteurs du BR 628.

@@quebecrail il me semblait que les BR 628 étaient apte à la traction de voitures ou d'autres matériels légers. Après vérification ce n'est en fait pas le cas. En revanche ils sont compatibles entre eux et peuvent circuler en unités multiples. C'était souvent le cas en Allemagne. Ce qui explique que tu aies vu cela pour la livraison du train précédent.

A group of us did this line, from the UK, Germany, Netherlands, America and Canada, in 2013. We did it with a pair of RS18 locos, numbers 1821 and 1868, all 8 coaches and both baggage cars, between Chute Montmorency and Pointe Au Pic (just south of La Malbaie). The railway was operating the Karlsruhe Method (geographical segregation option) as the ex-DB Class 628 was stabled at La Malbaie, and according to Canadian rolling stock standards, British and European trains do not comply with their crashworthiness standards. [Other methods of train separation using the Karlsruhe Method, are by the time segregation option and the automatic train protection segregation option.]

Je sympathise avec les gens qui habite à côté, mais justement, pourquoi habiter près d'une voie ferrée quand vous savez très bien qu'il y a des trains qui passe là et que ça fait du bruit.Même chose pour ceux qui habite près des aéroports.Allô??

I used to live in the first house on the left as you go up corsair drive. Lived there for 2 years. Canada is a nice country but the train used to annoy me. I live back in the UK now.
