I went there back in the late sixties. I was alone in a group of scouts that were from two or three different Troops. Our stout "Master" was from one of the troops and he got disqualified because of high blood pressure. So we had two different total strangers take over for segments of the course. There were a few guys I liked and a few that I hated. When ever it was my turn to fetch water, the task was an ordeal. The first time, we were at a dry camp on a ridge top and I had to hike down off the ridge top to the valley below, a couple of miles each way and haul two, two and a half gallon jugs back up onto the ridge. Where one of the guys I didn't get along with purposely wasted water for his own use. The second time I had to get the water, there was a stock tank with a wind mill that I had to use because someone had stolen the pump handle. So I had to climb up of the windmill and turn the blades by hand because there was also not enough wind to spin the blades. I was up there for well over an hour hanging on to the tower with one arm and spinning the blades with the other. When we got enough water and I climbed down, I was covered with grease. The A-holes wouldn't let me clean up because I might use too much water. The next camp was supposed to have a shower facility but when we got there, a previous group had burned it down. I do wish I could go and camp there again without a group of entitled teenage A-holes.

I see that your wife suffers from wrist nerve damage. I had both wrist done, much better now that after surgery switched to a Catrike Dumont Trike. No more neck, shoulder, lower back ( had L-3, L-4 and L-5, 2 pins and 6 screws ), no more worry about balancing, no more slipping off pedals and get hurt between the legs. Try a Trike, you will never go back to 2 wheels. Also do not miss just starring at the ground and trying to look up it would hirt.

@@Ashish-nd3xj - I don't believe our tour stopped at Thumb gleyser, but you would have confirm with your snowmobile company or request it. Yes we started from West Yellowstone and we had no fuel cost, it was included with our rental/tour.

cool vid! We snowmobiled to Old Faithful the last year before they required only guided tours. Some beautiful scenery! Did you get a permit to film in Yellowstone? I heard a new law requires KZitemrs to have a permit for each video. It's stupid but that's the new law.

The guide should have told the riders not to scare the bison and make them run. There isn't a lot to eat with the snow cover and they need to conserve all the energy they can.
