I love how every time people try and talk about the creators, that say “Paul Germain and Joe Ab- Uhhhh Paul & Joe” or something along the lines of that

Lemon Pipers - Green Tamborine Cover (sung by Robert Goulet) Drop a silver in my tambourine Help a poor man fill a pretty dream Give me pennies, I’ll take anything Now listen while I play, play, play, play, play my green tambourine. Watch the jingle gangle start to shine ✨ Reflections of the music that is mine When you toss a coin, you’ll hear it sing 🎤 Now listen while I play play play play play my green tambourine. Drop a dime before I walk away Any song you want I’ll gladly play Money feeds my music machine Now listen while I play…play…play…. My Green Tambourine Now listen while I Play…Play…Play… My Green Tambourine Listen and I’ll Play…Play…Play… My Green Tambourine

I think in a way the writers and creators of the show are reliving/remembering their own childhoods or younger years in the 60s/70’s with this movie and song.

I remember seeing this in theaters. I went through nearly an entire large tub of popcorn by myself. The nausea I felt with the mix of LSD-inspired imagery before my eyes and an overflowed stomach was so palpable, it's a miracle I didn't leave a huge mess for the underpaid cleaning staff.
