It's always been a mystery to me how he even got on tv. He appeared to be so ordinary and amateurish. Even on family fortunes he looked lost half the time. It's a bit like Tracy Emins art.

Bygraves was one of those rare instances when he said something you listened cos it was usually interesting, however his songs were just awful & his version of deck of cards was cringeworthy beyond belief

Yes I sadly agree, the passing of the greatest entertainer ever. I’m 73 this year and with hand on heart I can honestly say that I’ve been a fan of dear Max for years enjoying, singing aloudand will continue to my time is up,. God bless Max and thank you for your beautiful songs..

Bygraves received an O.B.E for this after 19 Royal Variety performances at Londons Palladium in front of Queen Elizabeth ll. Must've had her in stitches.🙄
