My experience is that once the caterpillar bites a leaf the surrounding leaves that were not bitten can turn yellow and fall off (I don't know why), but then the plant keeps growing like before.

Yes - You have a good point - Olive is another fruit that has oil and just like Avocado it has no 'bad cholesterol' in that oil - so it is healthy for the heart.

Thank You very much for the comment. I never grew this specie from seeds, because my plant never flowered, despite it's age - about 40 years old. Do You know if it needs 2 plants to pollinate for it to make viable seeds? Are You living in Mexico where (according to Wikipedia) this plant originates? You're saying that it grows faster when in the ground - how fast? Say in 5 years - how wide will the bottom get?
@luciene8372

Bom cultivo.

Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail) Psalm 55:22. If you are not one of his sheep(not born again), why not allow him into your heart today and he will take away all burdens and worries. He will give you joy, peace and make you righteous. You will have abundant and eternal life. Tomorrow might be too late. He is knocking! Revelations 3:20

Hello Frank. The beard did not grew more at all. Perhaps if I'll temporary replant the plant deeper it will. 3 month ago I made a video of this andenium with this type of air-roots made by grafting. You can see it by clicking on: kzitem.info/news/bejne/0qidp2ypf3ODono

Hi Mr.Garden S after attempting to artificially pollinate about 50 flowers over a period of months I gave up thinking maybe the air is just too dry here in the Karoo! Well lo and behold last week I was rewarded with a single seed pod! Much excitement I assure you! Its just past middle of winter here so I cart the plant inside at night in case disaster strikes!
@GardenSvideos
Ай бұрын
Hello Glen. one in 50 is not much. If the problem is dry air (and/or drying by wind), than I would commend to try taping over bended remaining petals so it'll be enclosed and move the plans after pollination into shade. Some adeniums just don't want to make seedpods. In my collection they are the cultivar Thai crown. They just never do and pollen from them never does. My detail tutorial on pollinating Adenium is on: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xKKOy4ajn5aed44

Hello ferhanbinhamid. Thank You for asking. I did this crossing and the flower of the offspring looks exactly like the Adenium socotranum and the body looks shorter and somewhat more branchy - like a mix of the parents - Adenium socotranum and Adenium obesum.
