Hi Bijay. I used to be a regular on Westlow until moving to North Wales 5 years ago. Very well run fishery that became my favourite small water back in the day. Pity the Shallows has now been converted into a carp fishery but I can fully understand the financial pressures fisheries like Westlow are under and if the deeps remains a fly only trout fishery then the decision will be justified. There didn't seem to be many other anglers on the water, which considering how many fish were topping and how well you did is a bit surprising. Use it or lose it. Regarding dry flies I would perhaps have tried a floating fry pattern and if that didn't work then a lure stripped through them would probably get an aggressive response. I've followed you for a while and am pleased to see how much you have improved. Keep the vlogs coming and maybe get a better net. Tight lines.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, fish were bit further from the bank and had to cast longer distance. fish were highly healthy and well maintained. As you said, i met only one fly angler that day but i really had a good time. For the last clip that showed many fish rising on the surface, (i have been into this kind of situation twice) and in the last video someone suggested me to try fry pattern or muddler but i did not have those flies. I tried the most smallest fly that i had in my box ie. dry, emerger but had no luck. i think they were taking really small (may be size 20/22) white hatching fly but could not figure out.
