Having been reading Nicholas Parsons book, there is nothing like hearing the real thing again many thanks for uploading. (For those curious about the photo, two heads have been substituted: Clement, Nicholas and Kenneth's are original while Barry Cryer's is superimposed on Derek Nimmo with Elaine's on Ian Messiter - but no matter....it makes for the correct team of course...).

Got a question: Did Nicholas Parsons comment on the Clement Freud allegations, and which side he took?

"I got two laughs and you're mad at me!" This is one of my favourite JAM episodes of all time. Elaine was absolutely hopeless at the game, but she was a damn good sport and took it all in good fun. All the hallmarks of a classic episode.

Absolutely hilarious - Stritch is sensational, outshines even the great Kenneth Williams, who clearly loved her honest and brilliantly-timed contributions here. Nicholas Parsons is superb too, as always, likewise Barry Cryer. Clement Freud can go **** himself.

You need to edit the playlist and remove the links to dead videos. maybe even rename the list to to just-a-minute. just a thought.

Elaine hesitates and repeats herself so much, yet the regulars just let her go on and on. They do it all the time.

May the wonderful, sassy and always captivating Elaine Stritch rest in peace. Upon hearing of her death, this hilarious episode was the first thing I thought of. This must be my fifth time listening to it since discovering Just A Minute almost two years ago. Nicholas is on record as saying that this was one of his favourite ever episodes and it's easy to understand why. It's amusing to hear the rules being bent so far for Elaine, but it's such a pity they never had her back as a real contender. She would have made a great contestant once she got into her stride. She was a truly unique talent and a real broadway broad!

I waited to see Fenella at the stage door of Salisbury Playhouse after a production of 'Blithe Spirit' in the late 90's her Madame Arcati was marvelous and she was gracious enough to sign my postcard of her as Valeria Watt in 'Carry On Screaming' ..I adore the woman xxx

The show didn't begin until 1967. :) 1982. Does anyone know when Barry Cryer first came to JAM? I wonder if this was his first season. He is listed on JAM websites but no year that I've been able to find. This would have been a good episode on tv. The audience was laughing at so much we couldn't see.
