This is really nice though. People may see it as long, but it's worth it.

On line 14, doesn't "leaving people feeling in danger of ridicule" have a different meaning to ".. environment of ridicule (and perceived danger)", as it is danger of ridicule that they are referring to, not actual danger??

Some of these tips are right for the wrong reason. E.g. 30: "Most blogs have either no call to action, or beat you over the head with it." The reason "either" goes before "have" is not because of awkward phrasing, it's because "either" introduces two alternates. To put it after "have" is to say the two alternates pertain to that verb (i.e. "Most blogs have either no CTA or one CTA, and some beat you over the head with it"). In this case, the author is trying to say the two alternates are a) having no CTAs or b) having CTAs with which they beat you over the head. Since having something is one of the alternates, "either" as a word that introduces the alternates has to go before. Also, "it" pertains to the call to action, not the blogs. The blogs are the subject of the sentence, the CTA is the object of the verb "have" and "it" is an object pronoun representing the CTA. Since "call to action" in "no call to action" is singular, "it" is correct.

#24: Self-deprecating humor is the safest kind and establishes *you* [not yourself] as a well-balanced person. Yourself is reflexive and needs the self as an antecedent. Here the humor establishes you.
