riding a gear higher is great advice. One reason why is because if the revs are super high and hit the rev limiter, the front end will drop into the whoops and the bike will stop pulling. riding a gear higher keeps the bike moving forward and the front end high.

How important is proper suspension setup? I'm sprung for woods, cc east coast riding. Out west the higher speeds freak me out, I can double a lot these whoops out here ok but I'm scared if I hit them like you I'm going to bottom out and endo. ( already happened) I've made some adjustments to my front end for more stability, ie lowered forks and generally stiffer. That helped alot but anything I can do to the shock? I haven't rechecked sag, bike looks/feels a little choppered out visually.

Great area to train in. We had a 10 mile loop set up just east of Moonrocks for Vegas to Reno training. There was a section along the highway to Pyramid Lake where I knew I was doing well if I could pass the cars on the highway.

Awesome sand riding style. Can turn to being spat off real quick if things go wrong at that speed.
