It's not "Spice Bazaar", and it's not "Egyptian Bazaar": In Turkish it's called "Corn Market" (Mısır Çarşısı). So named because it was the grain market during Ottoman times. As it still was to an extent until recently. Why does a Turk have to repeat Orientalist stereotypes? And the Vyzas story is only a myth, and your pronunciation of Greek names are way off. A little more consideration, please, for all the people who have lived here for many centuries.

Thank you for your wonderful information, Mr. Umit. Apparently, you claim that the information on the original site of the Spice Bazaar or on the website of the Turkish Ministry of Tourism or Wikipedia is incorrect. It's the first time I've heard the term "Corn Bazaar". You could at least cite sources for your claims. Of course, the founding story of Istanbul, which is related to Byzas, is a legend. Much of the information from the ancient Greek period is based on legends. Ephesus has a similar founding story and these need to be told. The words pronounced in the video are all in English and are correct. If you open the history documentation of channels such as the BBC and History Channel, you will see all the names pronounced this way. Turkey is in the hands of the ancient peoples of the region. 90% of the people living in Turkey are not Turks, they are ancient inhabitants of the area Greeks Byzantine Jews Arabs Kurds Armenians etc., who became Turks. It seems so from the DNA tests. Look at your own face, does it look like from Deep Asia?

Turkey carries the legacy of the Ottoman Empire, a multinational and multicultural community. For this reason, it is possible to see the traces of this cosmopolitan structure in Turkey and its main city, Istanbul. So it's not rocket science, it's something everybody knows.
