The Dad in the episode just makes me feel so grateful and blessed that my Dad never bailed on me or my mom (like my older siblings' dad did them). Even when my parents got a divorce, I was 13/14, my Dad was still around 70-90% of the time. And the other 10-30% was him being at work, his own home and living/rebuilding his life. Although he respected their divorce, it felt like they werent divorced bc he didnt leave away from me, not even my mom💕

Lovely the story of the sisters. Who knows if there are even more siblings out there. The two full sisters were born in 1940 and 1943. I'd check records of '41,' 42 and even '44 just in case.

The sisters 👯♀️ were wonderful. They meeting each other was absolutely perfect. It’s like they always knew each other. Now they have someone to call sister twice. The one who felt hunger, it’s sad but she remains jolly, how wonderful is that. Valerie is spunky. And the one who started the search had no idea it would be 3 sisters that look alike so much.

Vanderee doesn’t deserve her. She has every right to be angry. Thinking about someone and not doing anything for them is nothing but selfish.

This story is a reminder that not too long ago mothers were giving up their illegitimate children. It was hard to marry or work with a bad reputation. People often had babies in secret and gave them awsy.

Naomi forget about your dad .. he's a deadbeat who moved away from you and changed his name. He did not want to be found. Selfish, selfish, selfish.

Dont believe Sheila for a minute. She left her baby on an island filled with Nazis? Of course, she met someone else and ran off with him as she had another baby soon after. Forget about your child and dump her with your elderly mother during war....nice lady. No wonder she "drew a blank" whenever her younger daughter talked about her.

So this man just did not contact his daughter for 20 years? Even if he didn't have the money to go back to the UK, write a letter or make a phone call. How is it that you have your DNA just out there and didn't think to find her? I have so much resentment towards fathers like this. I am sorry.

All the way to Texas! I am glad they found him, and she is so forgiving. Many, many children were and are left behind. It is a disgrace. Vietnam, Korea, especially rhe WWII. They traveled through England, Paris, etc. Then, there are the so-called other wars. More children left behind. Right. Now there is the internet and DNA. No excuses now! I am now 70 and I don't forget. My three sons have a half Korean brother out there somewhere. At least that is what he said. He did make sure the boy was adopted by a military family while he was there. He was still married at the time; I think he said. He already had three little boys. He said he managed to get the girl married off to another Army guy to get her in to the USA. I don't think that worked out so well. I made sure my sons knew about it. They already had three half-brothers from his first wife that they eventually met. I will stay in the South where I belong. He was 13 years older than me, and I was so stupid. LOL. But, as they say, there are no mistakes as I wouldn't have my three great sons today. My oldest 42, keeps in touch with one of his older half-brothers, I think. There is FB. We are in the South, the other brothers in the North. LOL.

the 3 sisters meeting was so amazing, and I had thought they had similar sense of humor, and I was right! Naomi's father of , tho... talk about lazy. He said he had a choice to make, okay, I get that, but he makes seem like post offices don't exist. He knew where she lived, he could have sent letters. But well, good for her to get what she wanted, I just hope he doesn't leave her again.

I really dont get the whole deal about finding half relatives. I discovered early in my life I had a half brother and sister, and recently discovered I have like 8 half cousins and two half uncles and to me its like what I said to my brother and father when I found out, are you still my brother, well that's all I had to worry about. half is still just as cool and their still my relative and share my DNA.

Not sure why, but if you visit places families typically frequent here in the USA, you will frequently see black women or white women with mixed race children, alone. You very seldom see it among other minorities such as Asians or Hispanics. You more often see those children with both parents.
