it would be great to see how you did the UV's for the bricks, im trying to do a similar object and im stuck on modeling/UV's, not exactly sure which way to tackle it.

Looks good, but you didn't took many steps that many would have took. Like separating the cover from the pages, or at least bake an ID map (separating would have been easier), or when you painted the strip, you literally had the uv layout on the right, with the borders, you could have used it to avoid the waste of time of doing it by hand, but hey, maybe you did it to give it a more hand crafted look?

How to sсulpt so many roof pieces? Wouldn't it make the model very hard to render and texture?

Nice build, never thought about using actual bricks to build the walls. I wonder if geo nodes can arrange a collection of bricks on to a surface with a random mortar gap between each brick.

You didn't show what did you do with stones and roof tiles before exporting to SPainter. Did you somehow decimate all pieces individually? And more importantly, how did you solve the UV texture for tiles and stones? Are they all on a single UV texture? Thank you for the great video.
@VectorFrame
2 жыл бұрын
For the retopology I used mostly "Decimate" modifier but always is better make it manually. There is 5 groups for the UV textures: the walls, the roof, the wooden supports, the fireplace and the accessories (Door and windows). In the most complex objects (like the roof) I made the seams manually but in most I used "smart uv project" in UV menu.
