I am not going to exclude anything, but I will reduce my bread and sweets and eat more meat and non starchy veggies. Also stop snacking all day and just eat 2 decent meals.

Thanks so much for this video! The French sauces a very helpful tip since I miss gravy and need to learn adding healthy fats. Baba Ganoush makes me want to experiment with aubergine. This is my 3rd attempt at keto. I have gained so much information that will help me succeed in between the failures. I never struggled too much with my weight until now. I simply starved myself and I was a carbaholic. There is a mental block with consuming fat on purpose because of the food pyramid. Luckily, my mother worked for the health department as a nutrition educator when I was growing up, so I do have an awareness of nutritional density. My sweet tooth has often been my downfall, so I appreciate the chia pudding mention. I did not know chia seeds could be laxative. Avocados can be frozen well, so if you process them all when they're perfectly ripe, meaning cut them up and freeze in chunks, you can easily use them in smoothies. I particularly love chocolate protein powder smoothies made with frozen avocado because of the creaminess they impart. It fools the brain and kills the craving and then I have to keep reminding myself it was a GOOD thing to have that chocolate shake! 😅

Finally a video that explains it. I do IF and in the last two weeks ive done 2, 3 days fasts and not had ketones register in either. Lost weight but was confused why no ketones. This makes me feel better

Thank You Dr. Maggs. I have been consuming Peanuts at night in front of the tv, and having cream in my coffee, and cheese as snacks. I was under the impression, I could over do Fat and Protein, as it sustains us longer, but now that you explained that too much Fat can slow the weight loss process, it makes sense.

I did strict Dr Westman's 'page 4' keto plan for two months and didnt lose a thing. I then bumped it up to around 20 - 30 carbs per day and the weight loss started. I know I may have had metabolic damage that took time to correct before weight loss started, but still. This is easier and its working, slowly.

This diet is certainly an eye opener! 4 mths in and yes the mind clarity is amazing! No migraine, no IBS, lost 40lbs! Not hungry. Now on one meal per day (along with my butter bulletproof coffee)..... Love it....feel so much better at 61yrs. 😊

Can u tell me when did u get your carbs from if u do not consume them…? So please give me a break will ya please and do not talk rubbish as you talk rubbish as without enough glucose in the body your body is going to produce glucose from of what tou have eaten … so your body is going to convert let ‘s say from protein into glucose and is so inneficent way of getting your glucose from than your cortisol level is going up than start eating up your muscles to produce glucose…? So if you loose muscles is thst good for you …? So please educate yourself more will ya?

I can tell you this doing a hard high hit exercise for 20 minutes it's impossible to keep that routine up for months. you'll be exhausted it works but the minute you stop doing those hard hit exercises everything comes back you have to do it every other day or for months most people after a couple months give up on it they're like no that's too much there's a better solution. Hard hit exercises are exhausting jogging is not good for your joints or your knees. The best form of exercise is walking or speed walking with one or two cardio workouts a week. Our bodies adapt very easily to any kind of workout. If you do 50 pushups a day everyday of the week by the end of 7 Days your body won't even know you're doing push-ups it adapts to it. If you're lifting weights 50 lb weights for 7 days your body's going to eventually adapt to that and how do you increase the gains? You add more weight. That's incorrect you increase your repetitions you don't have to add more weight. For example if you do 100 push-ups on the third day do 105. That doesn't necessarily mean to 105 push-ups all in a row you can do them in 20 push up intervals.

After you exercise do you ever feel hungry? Of course you do because you just burn a ton of calories in your body says give me food. Now at this point you have to determine what it is you eat. Such as a low-carb diet in proper portions a good example of be eating a salad with some chicken not over consuming. First of all when you exercise you need to replace proteins in your body to keep your muscle mass alive so your body doesn't start eating your muscles. Put protein back inside of you. That doesn't mean to go out to a restaurant and eat a big giant medium rare steak. Have some fish, chicken with some salad a proper portion. Even then if your liquid beverage breaks down into sugar it's not going to matter it'll just increase your glucose levels. Then you'll be back at it the next day.

Rarely eat breakfast. When I was a child I never ate breakfast. sometimes don't eat till 1or 2 pm. lll have a small snack between and a light meal in the evening. Concept doesn't really work unless you're aware of what it is your consuming even if a snack is the beverage that eventually breaks down into sugar in the end

I’ve learned more on KZitem University about health and wellness (from reputable sources) than I ever have from a doctor. In my experience, my doctor doesn’t seem to be interested in my wellness; she just wants to keep prescribing medications and scheduling procedures. Because if I’m healthy, whole, and well, she doesn’t make any money and she knows it. That’s why I’ve decided to take responsibility for learning more on my own.

I have been doing Keto for a month or so, maybe less. I have lost too much weight except in my belly. My legs and arms and face are now skinny. I suppose there is something else going on in the mid section so suspect it is something else. I would like to clear up what is going on in my belly but I don't want to loose weight in the rest of my body, rather I would like to gain a bit of weight in my legs and arms so I don't see the bones and sinus as I look skinny as hell right now. So how and what would I do? I am great at being strict but don't want to fall apart being skinny. Should I just add fat balms really? Is that enough? By the way, I do Intermittent fasting. And was doing one meal extended. Now I am doing two small meals during one time segment.
