I got hired by Apple the day Steve passed, one of my first team meetings was this exact video. We were allowed do watch his funeral, and I remember this speech, and to this day I believe in it.

im confused that for someone who had worked with steve only heard this version after his passed...... This show just how out of touch with apple Tim really is... he has no real passion for the products or the company... at event he just reads scripts given to him. Then he seems them for the first time with the press and youtubers. Once Jonny ive was showing him the mac pro and explaining it to him as if he never saw it before... Jony Ive should of been named CEO.

True enough; it's on Tim Cook's watch. Apple is the most valuable company, in the world ($2.3 trillion), but cutting-edge innovators? Not so much, these days.

Yup. Crazy. And the audacity. I desire simply to live a life of joy, and to bring joy and value to others, outside the closed walls of a typical 9-5. In my late nights when I look at all the work I have yet to do, I think to myself how crazy am I? I do think this dream and goal I am working towards is crazy. But there are those who understand. In time I will meet that person I've become. And go back and read this post as him.

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Even though steve didnt have the hardware and software coding knowledge to create a computer but boy was he smart at packaging it and selling it. and he just knew the right words to make you believe every word that came out of his mouth. and he was smart maybe not tech wise but he knew the world like no one iv ever heard of.

Even with the sappy music overlaid, it's much less melodramatic than how Ashton said it. I like this version better... I suppose that shouldn't be a surprise though.
