In 1989, I asked my grandpa if he had seen the World's Fair, as he lived and worked in Chicago at the time. He said he did, and that he saw Sally Rand's dance perfirmance. He was a little sheepish about it, too. It must have been right BEFORE he took the train back to North Dakota to marry Grandma and bring her to Chicago.

Scatting is the toughest thing to do in jazz. Yet, the band hits the counterpoints and keeps up with the tempo changes. Very impressive and polished for a first take, like a long time gig number.

I read Pau'ls book, he said Sammy did not want to rehears the song, that's why at the end of the song he said to Paul, "you see that's better" or something along those words

And she was put down. Smh. She had an accent, not a speech inpediment, and she was a dancer, not a fallen woman. This is art in motion.

Sammy's cover of the Stevie Wonder classic 'For once in my life' was great!! House band was on it, as usual!! With only being surpassed by the artist Prince, Sammy Davis Jr, the second most talented musical artists of the 20th century!

Sammy Davis Jr. was the most talented performer who ever lived. There was nothing he couldn’t do. Sing, dance, act, and he did some spot on impressions. He had style and class. He was in a class of his own. No one else even comes close. He is greatly missed. If you listen closely right after they finish, he tells Paul, “no rehearsal, see better. “ He was so talented why would he need a rehearsal?

She was arrested on many, many occasions. Repeatedly at the World's Fair. One of the requirements of her being allowed to go back was to perform with some kind of cover instead of nude. Yes she was performing the act in the nude initially.

I read all the comments...about 6 1/2 feet of them. Found only two negatives on Sammy (5/8th of an inch). Sammy really dramatizes the lyrics, making you enjoy listening to them. His performance on the Carol Burnette show was like he was singing a song, not acting out a script. What a guy.
