Steam Up LIRR 39
After many failed attempts to run LIRR #39, she is now finally getting a chance. The Railroad Museum of Long Island (which owns #39) has partnered up with the famed Strasburg Railroad to restore and OPERATE her at Strasburg. #39 is only one of two surviving LIRR steamers and one of three surviving PRR G5s, which were built in the famed Juniata Shops. The Railroad Museum of LI must first raise $1 million dollars to begin the restoration though. Tax-deductible donations may be made to "RMLI Engine 39" at P.O. Box 726, Greenport NY 11944-0726. You can also donate via PayPal by visiting our website at rmli.us and the link will be on the top right corner.Visit Our Website: rmli.us/RMLI/Welcome.html
