I always wonder about these extreme athletes whether they have awareness of the degenerative effects of constant extreme repeated back flexion (affecting back disks particularly lumbar) and extensions (affecting the facet joints). For example, like any material the outer shell of a lumbar disc (annulus fibrosus) can wear out (like a tempered piece of plastic) then rupture at some future point causing herniation and all the neurogenic issues that then come with that. No matter how strong you are, fit you are, biomaterial failure probably is an issue for these athletes and though not an issue in short-term , could be and issue later in live. Of course, there is always a sample pool of athletes to pull from should a performer be side-lined so for the company it isn't an issue,, but for individual athletes it is. Given Cirque du Soleil has a presence , a base in Canada do the director, therapists ever consult say Dr Stuart McGill from University of Waterloo who specializes in understanding the back injuries of high performance athletes?

This is a perfect example of the whole "Time Under Tension" thing that gymnasts use to get so amazingly strong and coordinated. Brilliant stuff.

Just want to give a shout out, that this training actually helped reset a bulging disc in my back after a sky diving accident. Tried everything else, and couldn't touch my toes for 6 months, they wanted to do surgery, and this fixed it. Specifically the reach under move with the sliding plates, actually have it on video where you hear a loud pop, and bam no more pain. Now it's a ritual.

The guy is struggling doing an extremely abbreviated routine. Either he is really, really weak, or - more likely - this is harder than it looks and the Cirque du Soleil performers/athletes (because that's what they are) are ridiculously strong.

Love their energy and strength. Also no nets or straps, very dangerous. Yann Arnaud died last year during a performance. Regarding fitness and diet, I like how they eat everything and don't count calories, it's about the work you put in and eating relatively healthy which is easy - cook and don't eat too much junk food. And the emphasis on body weight, calisthenics, I really like.

This is HELL!!! I am trying this workout for a few weeks now. I had to reduce all times by 2 or even 3,so instead of 6 min superset I barely can do 2-3 min and i am doing only the half of repetitions, sometime not even a half! I have to say that I almost have a six pack, but this workout is giving me so much pain that I am loving it more and more every time haha!

careful with that stuff guys. 99,99% can´t do those exercises with perfect form. if you have trouble with your lower back it would damage on the long run more than it would help. this is pro stuff. just saying
