I built 2 Airborne's, a B for myself & a D for a pal. [Now wish I built a D for me] lol. You Fireman are 'the man' putting an XS on yours. 50-55' mph's my guess? modern racers with the 25XS make the upper 60's. I customized an OMC 25 & get 51 to 53 on a good day.

Would you be willing to sell this boat or has it already been sold? I saw online it was for sale for $950.00.

I’m thinking of building one of these. Looks much more stable than the hydroplane so used to run!

i can assure you a wetback or properly built B class hydro is far far more stable. these runabouts take more skill to drive for sure and are extremely fast and fun, but def. not more stable, especially in turns.

Other than controlling the hop, they are better in ruff than a hydro. Got mine to the point where it settles at full speed at least putting the tank in the front compartment & motor set up. My B can actually take more ruff than I can anymore. These are designed to race with a short transom motor [MK20H] A standard 15" motor will work with the transom jacked up.

*I enjoy spending time on their website [Check Details Here==>**t.co/d051Koirzv** ] . Aside from the wide range of boats to choose from, there is so much back up information on the actual construction as well as the ancillaries required to complete that how to make a boat entirely. Great site.*

My Dad and I built this same boat in the late 1950s. The boat has always had a Merc Mark 20H on the back. I ran the legs off this boat and motor for many summers. Flipped the boat several times as well. My boat always porpoised just this one as well, never liked that!
