These guys need a large portion of "Portage Etiquette."

Please let us know how we can improve! I always try to be very considerate of other campers. Part of the magic of this place is the privacy. We’ve never had any negative experiences with others whilst traveling the BWCA, but if you see something we did that others may take issue with please let us know how to be better.

All those ankle breakers on your portage at 7min reminds me of Disappointment.

It’s a very rocky area! Adds some difficulties but in my opinion really enhances the natural beauty.

When it comes to safety, easy things like wearing the life jacket go a very long way. Thank you for the comment, and I hope you enjoyed the video!

Nicely done! We camped last year in Bear Head Lake State Park, which is as close to the BWCA as any state park can get I believe. We'll definitely hit that one up again in the future!

Hey, Uncle! I’ll have to join you one of those trips up to Bear Head. Sounds like a blast!

Great video and very reflective of most peoples first few trips into the BWCA. I'm headed in with my nephew who is a BWCA newbie tomorrow and I had him watch this to get a feel for what to expect.

Very cool! I hope you guys have a great trip, with hopefully a few less bumps in the road than we encountered. Thanks for the kind words

The ambition is good but the skills will take some time. FYI ppl pee on those fire grates I wouldn't eat right off of them.

Thanks for the advice! I’m always hopeful the heat kills anything nasty. This is our third year adventuring in the BWCA, I’m sure we’ll develop a lot as time goes on.

The beginning of the video caught my interest and I was captivated by the upbeat commentary, beautiful scenery and positive attitude of your group. The final part of the story was so well writen and left me feeling relieved that you managed to get to shore and warmed up by the kindess of fellow adventurers. Thankyou for a amazing video 😊
