yea could you possibly make a better tutorial? i tried and it didnt do a god damn thing. how and when do you use the torch?
@vanalstyne9834
7 жыл бұрын
The torch is used at the very beginning. After setting up as he did (if you have a heat gun) begin heating the pipe close to gun. The outside of the pipe to be clear. Once enough heat is generated the spooge begins to burn off. The burn will travel down the pipe, with the aid of the hot air flow, and out the other side. You could help it along by re-applying the torch a few times. I used MAPP gas with mine. The pipe (factory '01 cr250) did not warp, bend or otherwise get ruined. Word of warning, don't walk away from it and understand this will generate a TON of smoke in the beginning.

you are running way rich in the oil ratio. Get some Amsoil Saber Oil (link at bottom) and mix it 70:1 and your pipe will clean up and the engine won't have any carbon build up and have way more throttle response. www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/2-stroke/saber-professional-synthetic-2-stroke-oil/

+Bill McGregor Amzoil is the only brand that runs at 75:1 in a 2-stroke Motocross bike. Lots of lubrication, almost zero smoke, and no carbon buildup in the engine. Even at 75:1 its better lubrication that something like a Belray or Yamalube at 30:1. I know its hard to accept and actually mix up such a lean mixture but Amzoil is truly designed to work at these lean ratios. My YZ 250 has same piston for 3 years now and zero signs of wear.

***** I've always used Yamalube in all my bikes, even my KTM's and Huskys. It was the benchmark for oils for a long time, I just stuck with it over the years. I do agree though that Amsoil has some top grade lubricants, only thing I ever run in my cars/trucks.

When did you use the torch for the fatty pipe? Before u put the heat gun in and turned it on ot after? Also where do you torch it?
@raizlc

After hooking the heat gun up to the pipe and letting it get the pipe warm, you use the torch to heat it up a bit further and "ignite" the inside. That's when the smoke starts.
