Did Mel Brooks work on this movie? This scene is so similar to climax of "Blazing Saddles".

This might have been the inspiration for the final fight scene in Blazing Saddles.

This must have been hellish to shoot. A complete mess with five directors.

It’s a shame that a decent score and a solid cast were wasted by poor direction and confused scriptwriting, because this could’ve been a pretty great spoof. You could tell by the two hour mark that the filmmakers had given up and just decided to throw whatever was left at the wall. So as a result you just get a load of over the top and ludicrous nonsense.

Just a reminder. There is at least one person for whom this film was the first exposure to the 007 franchise.

It was always meant to be a spoof but was poorly edited. Sellers got a lot of blame for falling out with Orson Wells and disappearing from set, which suggests there was little discipline and no one in overall control. The film is best enjoyed as a series of independent segments like this one.

I love how normally this starts as if it was in a real spy movie, and then the cavalry arrives and the music starts and it turns into a hilarious mess.

The 1967 _Casino Royale_ was a spoof and a parody and therefore by far the most realistic of _all_ the James Bond films. Ian Fleming died on August 12, 1964 so he obviously did not live to see how his first James Bond novel, i.e., _Casino Royale,_ was mangled in this nonsensical spoof and parody of his book, which is likely a good eventuality as doubtless he would not have liked it.

Fabulous ending , Fabulous music ! I seem to remember that when the Indians are jumping out of the aircraft that the first one says GERONIMO ! and the next one said ME l ( presumably he's actually Geronimo ☺ ) Maybe , I was just imagining things all these years or maybe I just missed it this time . Soundtrack has a lot of musical action going on ☺
