I did 77k on a Honda anf125 (c90 copy) in all weathers, plastered in acf50. Was in lovely condition when sold. The only criticism of these twist and go scooters is the lack of kick start if you have a flat battery or starter fail, regulator/rectifier issues. On the other hand the belt drive doesn’t need maintenance until 12 k and then really east to change if you have a power socket gun. On my anf despite having a chain guard I had to take chain off every 4 months and soak in diesel as links were seized. I have had an x max 250 and sh300 since. The xmax I took to southern Spain and back twice.the rear brake pads on this model and all sh models is a pain in the butt. Still better than chain maintenance. Looking at 125s again as bigger scooters although fast the mpg was 70 ish. Lovely review thanks

I've just bought one of these and I went through the exact decision process that you did. I've had it 10 days now and get more and more pleased with it every day. It had been 36 years since I'd gotten on a motorbike and was amazed how easy it was to get going again on it. I did drop one clanger though. On leaving the showroom with it, 36 year old muscle memory kicked in and I reached for the clutch...oops, that's the back brake! I came to a rather abrupt stop and I'm sure the guy who was seeing me off had a little chuckle. Being an old Bristolian I really enjoyed your tour of the area and the airport. Nice Video, thanks.

This windscreen is very nice, but when it rains during night driving, it can be bery hard to see through. I use turtle wax polish which helps the rain run off it, its not perfet, but the best result so far. I have a question for you which I hope you see. I'm approaching 40,000 miles on mine and have an issue, the scooter hits the limiter at 64 mph, in a few days it will be 63 etc etc. I never had this issue during the first 16,000 miles, so im wondering if the shop is fitting the wrong rollers or not even bothering to change them at all. My solution is to change them myself. There is not much info on this bike and no service hand book. Would you happen to know the correct stock roller weight ?

Badly worn and one even has a piece missing. You wouldn't have the code for the sliders would you, I have to take it apart again. To be honest the variator does not have much life left in it either. It's not a difficult job, just need one special tool. I think when it went in for its 32,000 mile services the rollers and sliders should have been replaced, obviously they were not, even though I was charged for the rollers. I will not go back to that dealer. Hope yours is better.

@edwardsp1916

Hi Kenneth, thank you for your kind words. The windshield came fitted and therefore I cannot compare the before and after, however, based on my current motorbike I would say a taller windshield does reduce airflow noise. I've sold the Sh125 and now have a Tricity 300. This came with a shorter windshield which I found did not reduce airflow noise. I have since fitted the taller windshield and the noise on motorways has reduced considerably. It thin it depends on how tall the rider is and the height of the screen, but I have found a windshield where the top is just below (perhaps as much as a few inches) the eyeline of the rider will be high enough to direct the majority of the airflow away from the riders head. The 110 seems a great scooter.

Hi TOPSK. The windscreen is an Honda accessory, in my opinion, well worth the cost if you ride in a cooler climate. The practical part of the scooter was a large reason why I went for the SH125. I could go shopping and come out with 3 bags fulls of shopping and store them in/on the bike (1 in the topbox, 1 under the seat and one on the shopping hook between the feet. Hi there, quick question, are the 60mm extension bolts both right hand threaded for screwing into the bike and right hand threaded for the mirror? Or do the threads that accept the mirror extenders have left hand threads, like the mirror itself. (I'm asking as a Honda Vision owner)
@edwardsp1916

Hi James. I cannot recall exact details however the extensions did not require conversion threads so both ends were the same (male and female ends). I will take a better look later and update if there is further info that I can add.

Only problem with these is that the bolt that came with them (LH threaded) was not long enough for both attaching it to the bike and also holding the 3mm plate for the Puig screen I'd bought. It doesn't leave enough thread to hold both. I think the 60mm riser you link to however might work with it

Just thought I'd add my tuppence worth. I've been riding a Vespa primavera since 2016, done just over 32000 miles on it. Only 11 inch wheels and no abs, also drum brake at the back. I still love the Vespa but decided I needed a bike with the largest wheels possible to make the pot holes more manageable. I spent ages looking at spec of various bikes, including the medley. I chose the SH125i based purely on spec and reviews, as my dealer did not have one in stock. Tweet and liberty were also much cheaper options. I picked my SH up 5th May sadly without the screen I had ordered, it was on back order in fact being fitted this Thursday. I have not been disappointed with this bike, most I have had out of a tank is 195 miles, because I forgot to fill up. Reasons I chose this bike, 16 inch wheels front and back, dual abs, traction control, keyless ignition (just have the keys in my pocket). The longest distance quoted on a tank of fuel 190 miles. Just hit over 3000 miles. My top box does not use a key, the key is only to remove the box! I also have the nuckle guards which help keep the wind off your hands, I do have heated grips. Oh one last thing, the flat floor with the bag hook actually works to carry shopping, this never worked on the Vespa due to the tunnel for the battery, so probably same issue on the pcx.
