According to spareslg, as of the time of this post, the PSU I referenced is currently also compatible with the following OLED65BX TVs: - OLED65BX3LB.BEUWLJP - OLED65BX3LB.DEUQLJP - OLED65BX6LB.BEUWLJP - OLED65BX6LB.DEUQLJP - OLED65BX9LB.BEUWLJP - OLED65BX9LB.DEUQLJP - OLED65BX9LB.BEUWDJP - OLED65BX9LB.DEUQDJP So if your TV product code is one of the above you should be golden. @@tusherraihan5671 If you can't find info about it anywhere, you can just open your TV up and get the correct part number from your own PSU. It is marked on PSU board itself, on the top face of the board look along the bottom edge, it should say something like 'LG P/N:' followed by your PSU part number. If you pause this video at 2:31 and look at the bottom left corner of the board near the dashed line that goes around the screw, there's some lettering there. You can't read it from the video but that's where you can find the part number for this specific model and I suspect for most others as well. You can then try to reverse lookup the compatibility of your PSU and see it works with the other TV. You should be able to do that on spareslg for example.

Thank you for this very informative video. It convinced me that if you're not very handy, you should not attempt this. I'm not and I won't. It will cost roughly $400 to have the Geek Squad do the repair, but I'll feel better that it's been done right and $400 is still a lot cheaper than a new TV of this quality.

I already got refunded for the tv but wanted to see if I can get it working properly. Tried adding a lot of ventilation on mainboard side and that helped make everything work again except for 4K discs. Now I think its a power issue. Any help would be appreciated.

So you have 2 issues? A problem powering on the tv and also persistent pixel cleaning messages? I would try to see if they can be solved separately. What do the pixel cleaning messages say? Can you run the pixel cleaning programme manually? If so, does it clear the messages? For the powering on issue, what exactly are the symptoms?
@chromgoog3141

@@ArghIHateThisSuit many thanks for quick response. Yes tried manual pixel cleaning and reset but messages pop up both when I turn on and turn off TV. Latter message gives no choice of yes/no but asks to accept OK (to clean pixels). 2. Issue no 2: Started with starting TV if chrome cast was plugged in - taking it out helped. But after 1 week or so, this did not work and I had to both take out chrome cast and switch off TV for few minutes before the TV turns on. So pixel cleaning pops up (with yes/no option) when I turn on TV. So both issue 1 and 2 are present in sequence. Hope this helps clarify. Any advise most welcome.

@@chromgoog3141 Full disclaimer: I am not a licensed TV repair technician. I will still give you my opinion but do take my words with a pinch of salt. It seems pixel cleaning is only activated when the tv is in standby mode (after turned off, displays that red light). If you're having the same issue as me (tv dying after being turned off) it stands to reason it won't be able to run the full pixel cleaning programme to the end, as 15 secs after it reaches standby mode it dies (as evidenced by no more red light and not being able to turn it back on). So it makes sense you keep getting those popup messages. Now the chromecast is another variable. But if I understood you correctly, you said that even without the chromecast you still get the problem of the tv dying and you need to unplug it for it to reset (the restarting trick) and only then you're able to turn it on again. Pretty similar to my case it seems. So if I had to bet, I would bet on the PSU as well. My theory is that your two problems are happenstance, you have the same PSU problem as me and on top of that your TV just happens to be trying to run a pixel cleanup. A new PSU would then solve both your problems: first after you replace the PSU the tv dying problem will be gone and then you'll be able to run your pixel cleaning programme to the end, no more popup messages. Having said that, your case does involve more variables than mine. The universe likes to throw curve balls so this could be one of those times where a fault in one place causes multiple false flags somewhere else which makes it harder to pinpoint the source. To be sure do your own research through forums for your tv model and your problem specifically. Sorry if I couldn't be more helpful.

@@issaciams Not sure if I can help there. These things are usually held in place by plastic clips because they may need to be serviced. If yours is really glued shut I would not touch it. To make sure if it's really glued you can look closer at the intersection between the cover and the TV at the top part while applying a slight force to try and lift the cover, do you see it lifting slightly or at all? You can see from the video where the clips are located, so try to lift from a space where there shouldn't be any clips and see if you can see some gap forming.

You will have to disassemble it and see what component failed and in which board it failed and then try to investigate a bit online your particular issue. If I were you I would look for your specific model first and then expand the search to other models of the same maker. Sometimes these issues are transversal. Be aware that these TVs usually have 3 or more boards and your particular issue could be caused by any one of them. Meaning that even if you find that the component that failed is in fact in your PSU board, it may still be caused by a fault in some other board. So read a lot first. I arrived at my conclusion for my TV based on its symptoms the PSU would be the best candidate.
