You don’t know how the motor functions why would you even try to take it apart and if you don’t know how to functions, how can you even give a constructive video and this is only constructive criticism

If the presented method solved the presented issue, it's a valid solution. You don't need to be a farmer or present a lecture on agriculture, to show someone how to peel an orange. This is a video about fixing a specific issue with these stepper motors. It's not a lecture on the electromechanic design and engineering of oddball stepper motors, nor does it in any way present, claim or need to be.

So what in this motor could cause the speedo to read twice as much as actual speed? My odometer is measuring correctly but not the speedo. Thanks

Interesting but was getting seasick watching it and didnt finish. you should redo this video and get some one to hold the camera steady, this could be a very helpful video.

Great video! Want to make my own now.. Thinking of using thin copper tape inside the 3D-printed "flower" and just thin thin 3D-printed plastic tubes to direct the air… Maybe also shape those a bit to make a "nozzle".

You should triple the number of step up converters or use a flyback transformer or modify a microwave transformer to achieve greater thrust

In fact the very CAD program you're using to design the holder for the three copper pipes would have found the center of each one of those circles for you 😂🤣😂🤣 I mean seriously you're saying you went to pen and paper to do trigonometry to figure out the center of three circles together when you're using a CAD program that has that very feature double wow
@an_what
2 жыл бұрын
The fact that you're saying you use trigonometry to find the center of three circles put together is retarded and it sounds like you're just saying that to make yourself sound smart because any smart person would know they wouldn't have to use trigonometry to solve such a simple problem
@an_what

Why people over complicate things makes no sense and make wasting energy and achievement look once you got your three copper pipes configured and the holder find the center of the copper pipe are you a DOT then you will have three dots that are centered and they center of the copper pipe that's where your needles will go you don't need trigonometry for a common sense problem

you can use polarized glass for the container via electroplating. being in water that would be the cheapest. but to have any noticeable thrust you would have to coat the vessel with ceramics both because of the electrical / radio interference and the electrical conductivity of extreme voltages... IE salt water. silver would be best for conductivity for your spikes. just one perspective from an engineer. still massive undertaking. either way good proof of concept. Full scale is what i was talking about.... btw

Certainly seems to work, but just wondering what was the battery input volts and the transformer output volts?
@coxfuture

Battery was 2 fully charged li-ions in parallel, so 4.2V. As for the transformer output, I have no definitive way of measuring it, and the best I can tell you is between 15,000 and 35,000V based on spark gap estimation

If you add a ring magnetic to each thruster you can get a return stream to recycle.

umm why are you using AC for an ion engine. You need DC, otherwise, the ions are going back and forth. You need them to go in one direction and hit neutral air molecules on their way, producing thrust.

Cory that's super cool, what if a mesh is used instead of the needle and the metal tubes have a tapered end, basically an electric jet engine
