I'm very picky with classical music (I'm a jazz pianist by trade and can't play a damn thing of classical xD). Most of it (and especially a lot of German classical, the russian stuff is my favorite) I find absolutely boring! But then there's stuff like THIS that just sort of clicks for me. I like music that brings out the instrument as well as the ideas behind the music.

Do you have any references for saying 7 A theme was formed after "Chopin's f minor-Nocturne op. 55/1" ? I've always noticed the similarity but it could be a coincidence, never heard that Brahms actually did that on purpose.

I have a hard time hearing how the d# in the 8th piece suggests a minor.

Of the finest , but UN-CATCHY. The ideas are very abstract and compositional, they don’t have weight and direct power of communication, good music for theorists and pianists can have fun. Still Brahms music manage always to call for respect

"HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
