I could tell from the very beginning that you put way too much of the adhesive on.

I can confirm this works as a last ditch effort. I had an O2 sensor that would NOT come out. I started by spraying it with the penetrating lubricant (Seafoam in my case) and let it sit for a bit. Then I tried to remove it with the sockets that were made for O2 sensors, but because of the tight clearance, they didn't sit very well and tended to slip partially off and then start to round the head. Then I cut the wire off the sensor so I could get a fixed/closed end wrench down onto it. I couldn't get enough force on it to move it, so I used a heavy hammer to whack the tool a few times to try to shock the O2 sensor loose, but no go. I hit it with a torch at this point, per some online recommendations. That didn't seem to help. Then I tried using a cheater bar over the tool and noticed that it was starting to strip the O2 sensor more and more (probably because it was already partially rounded). At this point I was about ready to send it to a mechanic, but I figured I would give it one last try with one of my handy old pipe wrenches (Hey, if you can't fix it, you may as well make it worth the repairman's time). I put a cheater bar on the end of the pipe wrench (it was a smaller pipe wrench as I didn't have much space). Give a big pull on the cheater bar and *Crack!*. It was free! I don't recommend using the pipe wrench until it is your last option, as it will completely mess up the threads. But I can verify that it does work.

how does it mess up the the threads. You are talking about the screw on the o2 sensor? or the threads in the pre-catalaytic converter?

I agree using a pipe wrench was our last resort too. a lot could have gone wrong. So please use this video just as a guide. because someone else's O2 sensor may not come off as ours did.

A 14" pipe wrench was the only tool I could grip the hex nut with (I stripped it using the O2 sensor socket). I ended up feeding a thin, strong rope through the hole in the bottom of the handle and then while the car was on ramps and the wrench was gripping it I used all my body weight to pull the string from the front of the car. I alternated between that and hitting the handle with a sledge hammer and it eventually loosened.

Double sided tape or glue, which one is better and last longer?

I put a spoiler on my car and it came out perfect with 3m double sided tape and adhesive promoter but the one side is starting to lift after 2 years so I’m gonna use some glue to hold it down

Did you use a 22m oxygen sensor socket made for it? When you tried removing it under the car? Just because I'm having the same problem?

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We did not have the o2 sensor socket. They did not have it in the town i was in and the one i ordered was going to take a few more days. I needed the car but didn't expect the o2 sensor to be as much of an issue as it ended up being. did you get your off?

On mine I tried the O2 sensor socket and stripped the hex nut, then tried a 12pt deep socket after cutting the wire. I also tried a large adjustable wrench. Finally I was about to give up and found the 14" pipe wrench. I fought hard with it but it was the only tool that didn't slip and eventually got it loose.

It’s harder when you are trying to record too. But I’ll admit it gets a little messy yes
