I to enjoy satisfactory a lot, but to me, is trying to get it as much "realistic" as possible. I make sure everything is aligned, that I put pillars underneath floating structures even though I know it's not necessary. So, to see conveyors bumping into each other, or crossing a rock, or even a constructor, is like AAARRRGGGG!!!!! And I pull of the hair on my head !!! XD

I've never gotten out of tier 3 on the space elevator. My biggest issue it things get to complicated and i tend to overcomplicate things. I have over 400 hours in the game and about 4 fresh starts. My current world I'm 50 hours in and kinda had a light bulb moment and started using the note feature to set myself goals. I tend to hand make medium factories (probably could save myself stress by making blueprints for faster setups but alas i fear that I won't have the blueprint i need and can't be bothered to make the blueprint) this world i decided to start in the northern forest, found a pretty sweet starting spot with 6 pure iron nodes (one capped with a boulder) and a single pure copper node (only one for a kilometer) few nearby caterium nodes a nice coal site with local, but small, water source. I've set up one medium factory (post teardown of my starter factory) producing the basics (rods, plates, wire, cable, ect) but also a few more complicated things (mod frames, rotors and reinforced plates). Then i set up 2 coal powerplants and a mini steel plant making tubes and beams and noblisk (nearby sulphur deposit to the powerplant so bonus) got a mini caterium factory in the just past the powerplant where the other copper nodes are making C wire and ai limiters and I'm in the process of making the second biggest factory I've ever made (fics*mas was my largest one to date) a steel mill factory that within spitting distance of my first factory tapping into the iron nodes i wasn't using, i plan on having coal trucked in on the roads I've built, using the only blueprints I've actually made, it's planned on making 16 encased steel beams (alt recipe for encased steel pipes) a minute, 5 motors a minute (using alt recipes for steel rotors), 15 steel beams per minute, 5 stators per minute, and some steel tubes (don't remember how many per minute) i also had planned to move noblisk production there but nixxed it as i was worried I won't have enough spare coal coming in to process that there. My fastest conveyors are mk3 and this factory is getting out of hand on size and logistics within, the spaghetti is starting to show in the factory though I'm trying to keep it tamed with stackable poles and wall poles and ceiling poles... Like i said i overcomplicate things 😵

You want nodes in caves? Uh, that's not so good with the quartz nodes where the entrance to the cave is on the other side of the map, hidden in some cliffs. Your scanner keeps putting you where the nodes are, but you can't get to them from there. SO annoying, and lets NOT have more of those.

Being overwhelmed was never a problem for me. I always did one thing at a time even when it felt like I'd hat to do everything I concentrated on more or less one thing. I always took my time with factories and that's probably the reason why my first playthrough is now at around +450h and took me around 2 years 😂😂😂

The first 6 Tiers in Satisfactory are fun, after that I become very overwhelmed and quit those worlds. I regularly go back and start a new one and get excited about it, and get to Tier 6 again.... then quit again. Once I need huge infrastructure that requires more time to develop and get components than a biome doesn't have to another biome... that's where I go.... "yeah I'm done" way too much work to get something going. But that's just from a filthy casual like myself.

I relate to this so much. I’m currently sitting through my like 4th play through of satisfactory. But every time I’ve played through it I get to like phase 2 and burnout cuz I have all these ideas but never have the confidence or feel happy with how I want to do something so eventually I just stop playing. It’s so frustrating cuz every time I do a play through I can get to coal power and complete all the tiers up to tier 4 but trying to complete phase 2 I just get so pooped and quit
@JakeSimmer

I can relate man, somewhere 'mid' game, the oil and its restproducts, then having to make endless belts to get it to the factory, it's just to much right? I also think it's a concentration thing, I mean, crafting those first floors, setting up a bigger smelting factory, getting more screws, that's still doable, but then, steel, those assemblers with 3 or 4 inputs, I don't know why, it's just to much right? So, if we wanna test the brain, play similar games I guess, and here's a nice free tip, the demo of Chocolate Factory on Steam, a very sweet game LOL Or a game like Foundry, also receipes, power challenges, water boilers and a nice research tree. Lemme know how you are doing or some tips and thoughts from your side. Cheers! Jake. ;-)

Honestly, I don't feel overwhelmed as much as frustrated usually. There are several features that significantly annoy me when it comes to the factory designing of the game. For instance, having no way for miners to line up with the world grid paired with the fact that they are big and their collision extends further than it should. Another good example is having to have a conveyor belt between stuff even if they're right next to each other. Another annoyance is the blueprint designer, you have no way of scanning a current factory, you have to build it in the designer and the designer is very small so you usually have to make like 10 blueprints for a good factory. Then it's difficult to connect it all up due to small annoyances like not being able to switch the direction of a vertical conveyor belt when building it (I wanna be able to start from the top and build downward, but the stuff still goes up the conveyor). The list goes on, but you get the point. There are soooo many examples of this where the gameplay hasn't been polished enough or thought through on the basic level that it makes the game extremely unsatisfying and frustrating to play much of the time. Don't get me wrong, the game has loads of potential and I think it's a truly special game, but it needs a significant redesign from the ground up if you ask me.
@bennyjerman

Idk about the blueprint but placing the vertical at the top then placing the bottom should change the direction
@midnatheblackrobe
29 күн бұрын
@@bennyjerman I agree that should be the default but there should be a very simple way to swap it on a case by case basis. After playing the game more though, there is. You can switch the build mode to reverse using r. This still feels very janky though and is still very annoying because if I build it wrong I have to rebuild the whole thing from scratch despite being in the same exact spot just reversed direction.

Overrated game: Steep learning curve: the game's mechanics and UI overwhelm at first. Performance issues: lag, crashes, and other technical problems. Limited building options: restricted by the game's building mechanics and lack of customization options. Repetitive gameplay: the gameplay loop of gathering resources and building structures is repetitive and boring. Unreliable multiplayer: the game's multiplayer is highly unreliable. Hostile creatures: the game's hostile creatures can be too aggressive and frustrating. Resource scarcity: some resources are too scarce, making progression too slow. Limited vehicle options: lack of more vehicle options and customization choices. Limited exploration: the game's world is too small and lacks diverse biomes to explore. Lack of NPC interactions: lack of interaction options between NPCs No endgame content: the game lacks content and challenges for experienced players. Limited blue-print system: the game lacks a more useful blue-print system Transport systems lack polish: bugs, poor features or lacking features Bugs and glitches: many frustrating bugs and glitches that hinder their progress.

There are various blocks I'd like to see. A quarter foundation set with an accompanying half wall set would solve many issues. More blocks in the frame set wouldn't be out of place. Introducing the packager earlier would also be fun. The biggest change I would suggest however would be to change the blueprint designer or add a second one that is 50% bigger on each axis.

The thing that I’m most looking forward to is somersloop and Mercer sphere lore. Which I think is almost guaranteed. These things have been such a meme in my playthroughs. Like “yo, what’s up, annoying thing making ADA yell at me. No I’m not going to pick you up. There’s a goddamn army around you. I’m not dealing with that for no gain.” I think actually wanting these heavily guarded items will naturally lead to more fights if that’s what you want. Another thing I’m really looking forward to is recipe changes. I am BEGGING for them to fix screws. I actively avoid them at all cost on large builds. Bolted RIP use more iron than the regular recipe ;-; and they are def not better than stitched RIP with iron wire (my preferred recipe)
