"You will own nothing, and you will be happy." It's not far away if our politicians continue to run government in this way. Voters need to wake up, and realize that our government is being used in several ways in which it was never intended.

You can’t just cut taxes forever. This country sometimes needs money. Also this barely affects people unless they make a lot of money or have a private business. As far is I understand it. There are indirect ways people could get hit. But on the reverse side, do these large corporations ever pass on their savings to their employees when they get taxed less?

What we need is to cut spending not increase taxes. Clearly you are a democrat thinking this way.

Taxation is theft. Learn some basic ethics. You want to pay more in taxes and higher prices for products because of other people paying taxes on your behalf, have fun with that, but you are just advocating more people with guns take stuff from other people by threat of violence. This nation went to war and people died fighting because of taxes on printed paper and tea, but now 200 years later 30%+ of my earnings (when you include state and federal taxes) goes to government programs, the only thing they pay for that I benefit from directly being roads, which use to be built by private individuals and paid for by tolls. Very little of what the federal government does benefits me or the majority of taxpayers and they still just print money out of thin air to pay for everything anyway, so we just get taxed indirectly via inflation. The federal government is completely corrupt and needs to be abolished. For almost 100 hundred years the federal government existed with just excise tax on liquor and tariff on imported goods, now it taxes our income, our businesses income, our earnings for investments, our wealth transfers at death, fuel/energy, imported goods, carbon dioxide, and many other things I don't have time to list. Worse, it uses that money to pay to house violent migrants in hotels, blow up children in other nations we aren’t at war with, pay for private jets of criminals and build endless weapons of war, and send violent thugs to arrest people for possessing a plant or the wrong plastic devices that attach to guns.

@@JEP-Tech your first sentence alone shows your stupidity. Taxes are required for a functioning society. It is what it is. I don’t care if you call it theft or not. We don’t function outside of a hunter gatherer society without it.

@@steves3234thinking what way? I agree that we should cut spending. Where in my statement did I say we shouldn’t? Clearly you like to label people and close your ears instead of engaging with what they are saying. It’s much easier for you that way. Am I right? I agree that the number one issue is spending. It’s why I hate Biden and Trump and pretty much everyone else. Although Obama did pretty well for one term. I think the biggest issue in spending is our military. Secondary to spending, but still a major issue, is how much we lowered taxes for large corporations and very wealthy people over the last four decades. We increased spending and we lowered taxes. An obvious lesson for disaster. Now I find it interesting that you mention that I don’t care about spending, therefore I just be a democrat. You do realize that republicans ramp up the deficit as much as democrats do? You know that right? Republicans lower spending but they also lower taxes so the deficit goes up just the same. Trump is a great example of someone who spent like crazy. Bush as well.
