Ya only AWD SUV or trucks could clear the thick snow. AWD and snow tires help but it's still better to stay home and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate :D

Most of the line appears to be done other than Yonge station... I've driven along the above ground section in the east and its been done for about a year. And the rest of the underground section appears to be at about 90% done.

Judging by how many cars were driving around it looks like Markham was on the outskirts of the storm. It wasnt bad like what we had in Toronto or Scarborough. Nobody was out on the roads that morning. And whoever was were completely stuck. Everyone was high centered the snow was literally above cars bumpers. even if you do drive a subaru the ground clearance isnt enough. I saw at the most maybe like 30 cars from 9am to 7pm.

I think it's pretty fun to live in Canada. We don't get blizzards often, and blizzards are FUN, you get snow days and do a lot of winter activities.
